2014 looks like it's going to be a big year for the vaping community, so what do you predict will happen?
After weeks of soul-searching and serious reflection, here are my five predictions for the New Year:
1. Revenge of the clone wars. Endless and increasingly angry debates about clones will go on endlessly, and the same old arguments will get repeated a million times. Eventually, the two opposed camps will start beating each other round the heads with their mods, to decide once and for all whether originals or clones hit harder.
2. We’ll get our first major celebrity vaping advocate. There’s bound to me loads of controversy about vaping in 2014 and where there’s controversy, there’s publicity. Publicity is to celebrities what water is to fish, so I wouldn’t be surprised to find an A-lister or two speaking out in favour of the vaping cause. When they make inspiring and uplifting speeches, we will cheer. And when they fall out of nightclubs with their underwear around their ankles and suspicious white powder on their faces, we will cringe like a Kayfun owner locked in a room with only a CE4 for company.
3. Someone will invent a cheap and reliable clearomizer that delivers flavour and vapour just as well as high-end rebuildables. 99.5% of people on a certain UK based forum will hate it.
4. 2014 will be the year when vaping has its first serious casualties, as rehab centres are flooded with victims of Shineyitus. A new section of AAEC where you can only discuss mods that come in various shades of beige will be set up for those going through recovery.
5. A man getting his eGo stuck up one of his orifices will make headline news. This will inspire a wave of new multi-purpose devices from China.

6) - Also, the Chinese VG lake will burst its dam, causing untold damage to hundreds of thousands of open-fire users in rural China as their environs literally disappear under a cloud of vapour. However, there's a silver lining to this cloud as air travel is curtailed just as it was after the Icelandic volcano eruption, saving millions of tons of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere. Chinese citizens notice an improvement in their breathing although the condensing droplets cause a spate of accidents as motorists encounter slippery road surfaces.

Linda McAven reaches out to us all by vaping and at the end of 2014 becomes a mod on AAEC. Great odds at the bookies.

1. People will stockpile juice.
2. The Vape mesh company will have a really good year.
3. Vendors will reduce the amount of juice which actually contains tobacco and start to sell more flavouring than juice.
4. Vapefest will be immense.
5. B&M shops will pop up everywhere.
Sorry I didn't follow the number pattern, those are my 5

I become an active member of the forum again, get back into vaping, and try out every new gizmo that comes out!
I can't see the "breakout" of vaping in Portugal unfortunately, as people are still very reticent about branching out, and the vaping community in here isn't very sympathetic. However the first store with physical presence just opened and I can see it becoming a pivot for vaping in my country. People can go in there and try a lot of different things (from tiny and disposable e-cigs, through Bloogs, Egos, to Provaris - and an array of e-liquids, Joyetech, Halo, Dekang and others), while having a free coffee, which is an interesting approach as I can see it. Let's see how things develop!

I defo agree with the celebs vaping prediction, also
More cunning plans by the government/eu to ban ecigs
Talk about taxing eliquid, when they realise they can't ban it
On a personal note, I will have my first real non clone mod, and probably a kayfun!
Developments in batteries where an 18350 will last a week of heavy vaping
Hopefully original mod makers will drop their prices to make them more cost effective when compared to clones
Fast tech will deliver all orders in 5 days (calander)!

Developments in batteries where an 18350 will last a week of heavy vaping Well, improvement in batteries isn't easily achieved. We prob will stay the same regarding that matter. What can perhaps be improved is a better use of the energy providede by a battery, but even that won't probably happen. I mean, the eletric car industry hasn't move forward because of battery restriction, and it's a billion business, I can't see it happening in the e-cig market xD Cheers
