If anyone has successfully got one of these working I'd like to hear from you.
Had this tank a while now & only got round to trying it out the other day after my other tank died on me.
Ended up with a couple of hours frustration and wasted boges. Just couldn't get it to work without juice leaking out and flooded cartos. Typical that it had to happen over christmas.
I punch my own cartos & usually punch 2 holes as I use VG heavy juices.
I have watched PBusardo tutorial & it seems he has the same issues. The look of the tank is fab, but the downsides nearly caused me to throw it against the wall lol.

I use them (2) and rarely have a moment's bother. (The tubes crack quite often, but they are cheap). I use mine with pre-punched cartos. If I was doing one with a normal cart (like the early days) then I do two tiny holes as low down as possible and just puncture the metal + a small turn, no more. Any gouging large holes is not going to work. I tended to mark the "guess" place near the bottom of the cart with a marker pen, then slide the carto in the base and see if it's low down. I prefilled, but less than if it was a normal cart (5 drops in the thread end, 10 in the tip end). Enough to get it started, but not a proper fill. Filling (the first one) can be done with the top off, but once you have it up and running, I found ONLY the filling hole (little screw) works, or it floods. Also, a thick needle can be disastrous. I never fill it more than 80% full. If it's dry (ever) you can suck in a little juice without firing. Gosh, if I can think of more, I'll let you know. Hang in there. Merry Christmas.

Oh, mine isn't Pyrex. Maybe there's an issue with that? ???

I use those too, but this is the upgraded model with a pyrex tank and stainless tube that runs through the middle.
Been pretty much a nightmare, floods, leaks & very hard to draw. I know people rave about them, but I can't figure out how to get the best out of it.

Not had any trouble with mine until it took a dive off a shelf & cracked the pyrex, I'm gutted because It's a really good tank. Don't know what to tell you about setting it up, I just sit the new carto in the base screw the stainless sleeve on & mark the holes with a pencil, take the carto out & punch two holes opposite each other its about 8mm up. I do prime the carto first, as djs said, don't fill the tank all the way to the top or it can flood. I know this is a daft question, but it has got the clear silicone o ring in the base? hissie

Replied to your pm.
I also find I have problems filling these tanks. No issues on the first fill, but more issues on the next fill.
