When using pc cleaners such as C Cleaner,Glary utilities etc the free versions, you can often find on the web free codes which will give you the full paid for version. What is the danger of using these if they work.I tried a couple on an old laptop i have and the codes worked.

Hey Yorkshireman,
Are you talking about serials? Normally if you can just find them that's "ok". But some of the websites you get the serials from are loaded with malware that tries to exploit your browser or java or flash etc so going to those sites might endanger your system.

You can get the codes from places like youtube, not through visiting websites that ask you to download stuff.

Then besides the fact that it's not the most legal way of doing things I recon it'll be ok (in regards of security of your system) to get them via that way

The free versions of Ccleaner and Malware bytes are excellent and do the job very well. Also lots of free anti-virus about AVG, Security Essentials etc. No need to steal when there are functioning official free versions.

I agree with Kibbster above. I find the CCleaner works fine in the free version. No need for the paid for. Same with Avast which keeps asking me to upgrade lol. One of my kids when at Uni years back told me they were all using cracks and serials on software worth hundreds. She brought home the Microsoft office 97 or such. Worked fine until Microsoft went to upgrade and that was it. Use free office now. Plenty of true free stuff out there but you have to watch out that it is truly freeware and doesn't install crap.
