This cannot be a safe way to sell or promote eliquids

A friend posted this up on google + earlier, he has found eliquid for sale at a shop called ' home bargains' the eliquid is accessible by anybody including children as stocked on a low shelf, no signs of any warning over content or an 18 only disclaimer also  cloud 9 vaping might be interested in this product ( are they a member here ) with every thing going against vaping continuously the last thing we need is a child death / illness due to a company selling eliquid like this, are they selling to under 18s my friend is going to send his 14 year old in to try and buy some.

It certainly doesn't seem right that anyone can just pick it of from the shelf ??? Do you think there are any checks at the tills?

Our local HB keeps them in the perfume cabinet behind the till.
Maybe your friend could suggest to his shop to do the same?

I bought a 10ml bottle of the tobacco flavour just to see what it was like as it was so cheap and the girl on the checkout didn't ask me if I was over 18 ... I was really miffed

Well, it is not illegal to sell this to under 18's, so they can do what they want really. The packaging does suggest it is not for sale to minors though, but whether the shop pays any attention is another matter.

Saw it in my local HB too. Was gonna give it a try, but decided against it. It was on a "high" shelf in that store though.

Certainly doesn't look like the real Cloud 9 logo, so presumably some nasty unknown stuff.

HB carlisle.  has only 2 flavours on a high shelf. both boxes are empty. you have to ask at the till. thay also sell a starter kit but it is not displayed you have to ask. and know nothing about how to use them

The tobacco flavour is actually quite acceptable if a little weak for my shot taste buds  ....  my grandson has also tried their blueberry and menthol flavours and reckons they are both spot on considering the £1.99 for 10mls price.

Bloody stupid that ain't a law against selling to minors when they are trying to restrict everything else surrounding vaping.
I'll check my local home bargains to see if they know what they are actually selling and its appropriatly placed.

In my local home Bargains it is on a high shelf along side their other NRT products (after all that is what eliquid is) ... the same sort of high shelf policy as Asda, Tesco etc who I don't believe have a policy of not selling NRT products to minors (my reason for this assumption is that there is no restriction on NRT products in the self checkout lanes) .... a young person is just as likely to swallow a blister pack of nicotine lozenges as to drink 10ml of eliquid.

Whilst I agree that Minors should not be allowed easy access to any nicotine product, I personally must reach back into the dim and distant past and recall my first purchase of the dreaded weed. (I can assure you I was most definitly not legally entitled to purchase them)
I wonder how many of us have the same memories?

Those were the days - used to go to Martin's and buy 5 Park Drive and told the newsagent it was a present for my dad's birthday

yep, but my illicitly bought packet of marlboro if left on floor would not kill an enquiring pet   unless they worked out how to use my matches
