I also, recently split stickies & announcements - took me ages to work out how to amend the code to get the same background colour on both the Sticky & Normal thread headings

Lilac, you are also right, I resized the width to more or less match the width of the banner.

Scylla, the border should be showing no matter what browser you are using. However IE wont show the rounded edges.
