Hi I joined this site about a year ago when I first discovered vaping and was looking for more information. I started off with a 510 with the cartomisers, then shortly afterwards replaced the cartomiser with a Vision Nano (which was a lot better than the rubbish cartomisers!) Then a Flavour Vapour popped up in Bristol so I picked up a couple of 600mah Ego style batteries (they were Flavour Vapour branded) with some clearomisers. For some reason, I was never really happy with the flavour and I found that they leaked quite a bit... So I ditched those and decided to buy a VV - went for the Vision Spinner 1300 and tried the Kanger T3S and a Mini Nova (haven't used this one that much). This is by far the best set up I have had to date, although I have still had issues with leaking. I think this has been down to a bad batch of heads for the T3S, the current head I am using hasn't had any problems, where as the last block of 5 kept leaking and I would struggle to even finish off 3ml before doing so! I also seem to get really inconsistent flavour sometimes For the last 12 months I have still been smoking rollies as well as vaping - I have struggled to find the right set up, right flavour liquids, etc to completely replace smoking. I am hoping now to be able to start vaping full time and try and cut out the tobacco! Might look into a few more new purchases - anybody want to recommend where I can go from the VV Ego style battery? It is good, I just feel that there could be something better out there! Looked at the Innokin MVP 2 a few times now.... Anyway, enough rambling! Hello (again) and I hope to find the right set up this year to make it easy for me to cut out the tobacco!

Hello and welcome back. Yes something like a mvp or a vamo would be the next step up. Vv and vw plus ohms checkers, battery voltage etc.
There are a lot of mods out there these days so what is your budget?

Welcome back defectiveaudio Yes, there probably is better gear available on the market nowadays, there seems to be so many upgrades even in the 4 months I've been noticing vaping gear! As far as tanks go, the iclear16 (which look like the cheap heads) are a heck of an improvement as they are dual coil and flavour is excellent - so you would probably find them better, even on a basic battery - as you have variable voltage you would do well I'm sure.

Actually it was rain and a gale force wind that cut me off the tobacco.
9pm and I had run out of fags and the idea of having to walk across the village green to get more fags in that weather was enough for me to give the Skycig-a-like a proper go. I had been using these and ciggies for about a month by then and I used Skycig 100% for the next 2 weeks.
I then bought a Vision 1000 kit from Vapeescape and used that for the next 8 months or so before getting a Vamo.
The rest is history, but I still have the Vision Kit and it is still going strong. Best investment I ever made.

Thanks all Happy to spend up to £100 for a decent upgrade - have been looking at the VV/VW batteries for a while, just not sure how much of a difference these would make over the spinner I currently have. Will also take a look at the iClear16 This is def a good time to try and stop smoking too, it's pretty chilly outside these days!

if you are happy to brazen it out ...you could treat yourself to the innokin VTR but outlay would have to include batteries and charger which bumps up costs. So I agree that the MVP would probably be a wiser restarting vavaping gear as the battery is built in and it lasts days on one charge If you go for the starter pack you get a few iclear16's included with that

What is the difference between the VTR and MVP? Had a quick look at a site on the mod section and there is just so much choice!! ??? Welcome back defectiveaudio. I'm on the outskirts of Bristol myself, although I've not visited the Flavour Vapour shop, but have heard of it. I only have an MVP so can't give you a comparison as such, however the MVP gets a big vote from me because of the battery run time, which is brilliant. It is mind boggling the selection now, the new kit that's come out in the last year has been epic! There comes a point I reckon, where you just have to make a choice based on your personal preferences/budget and go with it. Essentially they all do the same thing, just some a little better than others.

Hi!
I think the problem I have is maybe I try and research just a bit too much and then really struggle to choose!
I have had a quick look at the Vamo V5 - I actually think this is the style I would prefer and I have found a kit online which includes 2 batteries, charger etc for £50
I then went to look at some reviews and noticed a few people seem to have had problems with poor quality from these? ???
Might start another thread to try and get some more peoples opinions on this still of VV/VW - in no rush to buy as the Spinner works fine

Hi defectiveaudio. The Vamo is a very popular device . . . although I'd invest in buying the parts separately as generally the batteries and charger that come in some of the kits aren't up to much. But the Mod itself is excellent for the money. My shopping style is more about - bugga the research and buy at least 2 of something.

Argh Perpetua my shopping style is like - is it less than £40 - is it a vamo (if it is then no cos I love them but I bust them) - it is an MVP - then again no cos I bust those easily too - basically go through my list of mods I've killed quickly - then settle on a mechanical mod for £20

haha hopefully I won't have the same problem you do with breaking them! There is also the Sigelei zmax which has caught my eye... The Vamo kit looks to be from one of the sponsors on this site (http://myepack.co.uk/mods/vamo-v5-full-kit-black-chrome.html) and the batteries look to be the recommended manufacturers Will do some more reading this week and then get something on order soon

Our Jane has a Masters Degree in breaking things defectiveaudio ( she won't mind me saying ) so don't be put off by her misadventures. Myepack is a well used and recommended Vendor on here, authentic gear at competitive prices . . . as are a number of others. Whatever you do choose to buy in the Mod way, do invest in some good batteries and charger, they're absolutely not worth scrimping on.

For me the vamo kit from myepack was a great buy. The batteries and charger are good quality as are the iclear 16s. Just remember to buy some replacement heads and liquid and it's ready to go. The vamo is a decent enough vv/vw mod and you can use pretty much any atty you want on top. The only negative really is its size, huge when using 18650. Not so bad with an 18350 but battery life is shorter then.
