Thanks stu. Not sure I could attach it to my dash as it very curved. I have now ordered the soft pouch from Amazon.

Great job those stu1873 ... I have one stuck onto the A pillar of the car and it is just the perfect size for the Nemesis ... the 3M double sided tape that it comes with sticks really well.

I have one, had to enlarge the hole a bit to fit the Astro lock ring, it works great and blends in well.

How did your holder/pouch work in the car Blownupdolly ? I've just used Sugru to make a phone holder for a friend's car. sugru.com/If your mod is steel you can put magnets into it before it sets. This stuff is amazing, it seems to stick to anything and sets like silicone. I've got 6 small packs left to put pistol grips on my MVP and vamo.

hi Blownupdolly, if feeling a bit adventurous try this: 1. buy a can of expanding foam from hardware shop. 2. remove ashtray from car. 3. in well ventilated area, preferably outside spray expanding foam into the ashtray (Billy could help as long as you supervise) 4. allow to cure, then cut off excess, 5. cut out hole to suit, smooth with sandpaper or kitchen scourer as that works 6. spray colour of your choice, a plasticote type spray will give a nice finish 7. when dry fit ashtray (technically now a mod holder) back into car. easy peasy lemon squeezy

Thought I might share with you my high tech MVP2 holder for my van. Took half an hour to make from a plastic box that business cards came in. Padded inside with laminate flooring foam underlay and wrapped in black insulating tape. Not pretty but it does the job!

I can't believe you posted this.I loved my pouch thing as it was perfect size to fit in my Iphone and the Titanide , but I accidentally pulled it out of the air vent in the dark one night, so left it on the passenger seat to fix the next day. Mr Dolly got in the car and It must have stuck to him as the next day it had disappeared not a happy fluffy bunny I only ordered another one this very morning! Now his nibs has seen that stuff he wants some. Knew that would happen! It would be perfect to make then for car holders.

That's okay Blownupdolly. It wasn't meant to be pretty, just functional. It's just for my work van, I wasn't going to take orders

you lot are an inventive lot. one complaint : its all very well and good saying 'just do this' or 'that' but some of us are not that way inclined and what may be simple and easy can end up in a right old balls up in our (my) hands !
