Got some KY4 (Vermillion River) from Ecigwizard last Thursday and got to try it tonight and im having a weird problem, i usually vape at around 10-12 watts but if im at that with the KY4 i get a burnt taste, i have to turn it down to 7-8 to stop the burning and even then take much shorter draws. Anything more than 2-3 seconds and the funny taste is back. This is vaping on both my nemesis and SVD, the juice is in a Kayfun with a 1.3 ohm micro+cotton, any other juice is fine. Anyone else had this happen with a juice? The actual juice is very very nice, one of my new favs. ----------Solved---------- Rechecked my coil for the 3rd time, again everything looked fine, decided to re-wick anyway and after pulling the cotton that looked ok, i found a small burnt line in the middle of the wick that would of sat in the middle of the coil. when i first test fired i it couldn't of had enough juice right in the middle and made a small burnt patch. Re-wicked with cotton and all is fine and dandy.

I would of thought so too, but this was a fresh wick and after a dry burn of the coil.

I've tried a couple of other Vermillion River tobacco blends and they both tasted burnt! I think its the Kentucky tobacco - its certainly an acquired taste.

Is it a high vg mix, slower wicking juices are prone to burning.

Cheers chaps for the info, the KY4 is blended using their premium tobacco juice, i have some of that too and its lovely and i get no burnt taste at 12w in the same kayfun and 1.3 coil.
Could be a iffy bottle of juice? i have 3 10ml bottles, i will switch to a different bottle and try that.

12w is pretty high for a tobacco, I just think the juice is burning due to the high power.
