my fine lady getting a sore throat

Yesterday (as some of you will know from my intro thread) I bought a i-breath e-cig with two re-fill thingy s.
my partner is sharing it with me until we can afford another for her but its burning her throat quite bad she says. we are using 24mg as we were quite heavy smokers and i need a throat hit.
I also have quite a bad belly but i dont know if thats anything to do with it. 
should i get an 18mg or a different brand? i don't know.

kevthedev Vaping dehydrates you, so you need to drink LOADS of Water (DONT drown) an upset Stomach MAY be to do with Vaping, quite a few peeps reckon Vaping gives them wind. I was a VERY heavy Rollie Smoker. and found 24mg TOO strong, so I started on 18mg, and now am using 12mg, also the PG/VG mix (the main liquid in the Juice) MAY not suit you, and MIGHT cause a sore throat, but it's most likely to be too much Nicotine, so try a less strong Strength. I THINK B&M, or Home Bargains do a limited range of Juice at different strengths, cheapish the last time I went in

as Keepit said, drink fluids for a while,headaches not un common either for frist few days ,its the change from burnt wood,to clean warm steam it will pass, on down side may not agree with PG ratio to high to VG,as for belly ,yup cows will have none say on amount of gas ,your inhaling more air, VC does it,plus think the sugar content in VG does this for a while,it will settle ....these effect some new vapors ,others it seems to pass by

Yes 24mg might be too strong for you, but if you was a HEAVY smoker then 24mg shouldn't affect you that bad i would of thought. Some people do get sore throats to begin with as well as a bad cough. The vaper produced is a different source way of your lungs getting the nicotine. The sore throat should fade, but lowering the nicotine dose may also help.... Try 16mg or 18mg.....

Personally i have never had any side affects from vaping apart from a deadly cough in the first week. It could be a bad batch of liquid giving you a bad belly. But it could also be the ratio of PG/VG. Do you know the ratio?

Firstly, welcome to our happy little bunch of vapers.
When most newcomers find when starting to vape, a sore throat and minor discomfort is experienced. The carrier used, PG can cause dehydration, too high a nicotine dosage can cause some distress as well. ( think back to when you were smoking, If you smoked high nic baccy/fags you got dizzy if you overdid it.)
All these side effects will go.
Increase your fluid intake (drink more water), consider slowing your vaping ( I bet your still thinking of your Ecig as a fag)

As mentioned, you will need to get at least an other battery as one between two of you won't last long between charges.

bear with it and it will come out fine in the end

Thinking back, I used to get a sore throat when I first started vaping. I'm fairly sure it was solely down to the cheap and nasty CE4 type thingys(as you call them) burning the liquid. Maybe try a different atomiser would be my advise. ;-)

I have just found you a list of the possible side affects when you start using E-cigs and quitting fags all together... They are as follows.....Dry skin
Dry mouth
Rash/burning sensation on face
Itchiness
Puffy/dry eyes
Caffeine sensitivity and Bad Cough.... But bare in mind most people get no side affects and any of these will only last about a week then go! Just remember using E-cigs is 1000% times healthier than smoking fags!

You missed out one other importent factor, after you start to explore all the goodies that be had (Shiney attys, Shiney mods etc)
Your health does improve, but you Wealth tends to suffer.

Im gonna keep at it regardless. Although my belly isn't to good i feel great otherwise Its the woman that worries me. shes already had a fag this morn. Maybe she doesn't wanna quit and is telling me porkies lol . Ill try an 18 and will go from there. thanks folks. Your all a god send on here that's for sure.

Maybe shes just not ready to stop fags, it is hard for some people. I smoked 20 a day for 10 years but found it super easy to stop when using my e-cigs

Nothing wrong with Dual fueling just think of the fags your not having..keep at it.
6 Months down the line you will both be on here wondering why anyone would ever smoke.

seems like my things broke when i push the button its flashing red. i put it on charge and after a few second the light indicates its fully charged  any ideas folks?

Does your battery do the 5 click on/off thing? If so, you're not accidentally switching it off?

It's also a good idea to keep the contacts clean on the battery and charger, just a wipe with a tissue normally does it but you can also use alcohol.
