The forum is slow & hanging & very frustrating at the moment, but it's being looked into.
CloudFlare have posted the following on their site.... "Mitigating a large attack hitting much of the EU"
Please don't hurt yourselves banging your head against a wall, just sit back, relax & vape!

Well, I don't know how many managed to read my post above, but sorry that it became impossible to use the forum. As you know, it was out of our hands, but seems to be getting back to some normality.....for now.

I hoped that the second post wouldn't start it off again, with jumping the gun, but it seems to have settled down fine. It was the four EU servers, so, big & bad.

Yep, that's what we were caught up in, Raffles. Just a shame the idiots that do these things, don't use their talents to the good.

Yep, that's what we were caught up in, Raffles. Just a shame the idiots that do these things, don't use their talents to the good. I was going to say what a wonderful world we'd have if everyone worked together for the common good... but I forgot one important flaw... politicians and their ilk, plus the greed of human nature. There is always someone with an axe to grind for their cause, which, to them, is far more important than the benefit of all... it's me, me, me. The fiction of James Bond and 'Spectre' becomes ever closer... but where's James Bond?

Thanks for that link Raffles - it does confirm it was one of the biggest DoS attacks It really is a crazy world & very sad that people get kicks out of doing things like this

I'm no expert, but I doubt that attacks like this are the work of a few bedroom hackers. Groups like Anonymous etc. often target specific sites for a specific reason. As most people in groups such as this are usually avid internet users themselves, I doubt their desire to issue such a broad DDoS attack, which would likely affect their own networks. I would be more inclined to believe that some "security" operation is involved, either foreign or homeland. Interestingly, this happens just after Edward Snowden's release of leaked information regarding our very own GCHQ's plans for hacking activities and DDoS attacks on "enemies of the State". A free Internet , even forums such as this, will always be a thorn in the side of a powerful State. Or.. has Big Pharma bought the James Bond kit?? Hehe Me? Paranoid much?
