If you haven't mounted the buttons yet have a look at Sugru its good stuff, has a long working time, high temp, electrical insulator, hygienic, various colours and would just look like a thin rubbery gasket when done. I plane to use it a lot in the DNA build I'm about to start tomorrow.

Guru's great stuff. A guy at Hackspace used it to make gripping hands on a robot. I'll have to get myself some.
