Go for it, I did and I haven't looked back, supershineys tutorial is a gem, my wire cost a couple of quid inc delivery and a bag of cotton wool balls was under a quid, used the wife's tweezers (she wasn't happy, lol) and wrapped the wire around an old drill bit, checked the resistance on my mvp2 and wham !! It was spot on just like he said it would be, cotton is great too !
