Someone wake me up, I think I'm dreaming!

I just got a phone call from the housing allocations manager. He has offered us a viewing of a wheelchair access home! I am praying it's ok inside as it's location couldn't be more perfect for a water and animal lover. It is right next to nature reserve on the banks of the river Crouch!! Even better, my carer turned up just after the call so I asked her if she had been there. She said they couldn't have picked a nicer place for me and the added bonus is that even though it was built in the 80s, all the homes have just had a complete refurbishment! I head is in a right spin.

Quick question for all the internet geeks out there. Is there somewhere I can go online to check out how good or bad internet and broadband services are in an exact location. My daughter lives in a village about 5 miles from this new place and her network coverage is terrible. I want to know if it's good or bad before I move, although if it's as nice as it sounds, I wouldn't say no anyway.

As for the internet options just do a search with various providers, all you need to do is enter the post code.

Okey doke. Thanks Buddha. We can't go view the inside until he sends out the official offer letter, but it am going to phone daughter to see if she will come with me to have a scout round the vicinity!

I have never needed to do this before. I see you are in Chelmsford. OH works in the prison there.

I shall go check out websites. We are currently with plusnet.

That a good point Clivia. It is in an established residential area, but at the end of the street it becomes woodlands and riverbank. As you say, fingers crossed.

Virgin, Sky, BT all do fibre optic. On each of their sites there is a post code checker to see if the necessary cables are available to that address

I don't know yet Karma. I couldn't exactly ask the bloke as it was him who told us before that all their properties are no pets allowed. One good thing though, my daughter is prepared to take Honey the dog. Although she isn't a dog lover, she knows she is a well behaved little thing as she stays with them if we go away anywhere.i am hoping that if we do move there that I might be able to sneak her in the odd nights here and there.
