volts whatts help!

So I got myself an itaste vv vw 3 today. Yesterday I could have sworn I found the sweet spot of my beloved grape on my evod twist batteries which was 3.4 volts using the mini protank 2 at 1.8ohms and evod 2 at 3.3/2 volts at 1.5ohms

Today, I realised that the coils are actually 0.1ohms higher than I thought so settled on a vw settimg of 6.5whatts. Everything played nicely until my battery died and I went back to the evod twist and put the coil from the evod 2 into my new mini protank 3 and it is constantly flooding at the battery end and it seems as though there is not enough power going to heat up the coils which didn't happen on the itaste battery. If I turn it up past 3.4 it burns but nothing lower is powering the dual could anymore!

I am miffed. I liked the mini protank 2 using the same settings which is behaving but the flavour from version 3 being dual coil blows it out the water!

Any thoughts on what I am doing wrong or how I can get around this? Can I not power dual coils on a low setting?

I doubt if the leaking has anything to do with the battery. Bad protank 3? What happens when you put the coils back in the evod 2?

If the twist works on an evod 2 it should work on anything else with the same head. The battery might not last long between charges, but that's another story.

Are your coils getting gunked up? That would explain the rise in ohms and getting a burnt taste.

btw, I also use evod 2s at 3.3v, on my spinners, and I'm still on the heads they came with. Works great. But I use mostly PG-heavy juices and I make sure it is all nice & clean. If you are drawing hard on VG-heavy juices you may not be getting enough juice to the coil - particularly if the wick is gunked up.

Thanks Giles I will check the coils they are two days old but even the ones I measured straight out the pack with the protank mini 3's I got 2! Are higher than listed. This morning I now find out that my 1000mah evod twist battery although St to 3.5volts is actually only reading 3.25 on the volt meter!

I think I shall start again today! Probably using the itaste as my guide. Unfortunately my juice Burns when the volts are to high but with nothing measuring add I thought it is best to start again today lol. Digital seems the way to go!

I am using the Protank 1 & 2 on my Twists, and itaztes, then I read about the Kanger Air flow gadget to use on the protanks, stops leakage and you can control the air flow to suit your needs. Much better vape, I got 3 as I have 3 Protanks and 3 itaztes from Myepack.

That is something that i also need to look into I am playing with how tight i put them on the battery and using the itaste on its own until i can figure it out then i can use my twists once i solve it lol will look into the airflow controller as well

Maybe I am not following what has been posted properly as read fairly quickly, but I did not think you could use protank 2 heads in the protank 3 which is a dual coil set up and heads are slightly taller. Would explain the flooding as there will be a gap and so juice will flood the head.

Hi Brambles, maybe i sounded a bit muddled. I have a mini protank 2, evod 2 and mini protank 3, i used the head from the evod 2 in the protank 3, they are both dual coil

It probably isn't this, but just to check - with protanks & evods on a twist it's very easy to put your finger over an airhole. And then you are sucking harder to try & get a decent draw and pulling up juice..
