Before the Dawn (Kate Bush Live)

I'm in my early 30s and Kate Bush hasn't performed live in my lifetime.  I can quite justifiably say that I have been waiting my whole life for this as I can't remember life without her music and really can't put into words how important it is that I somehow manage to get a ticket.

Did I get an email about yesterday's pre-sale despite being signed up to her site/mailing list for quite a while?  Nope and I forgot to check for a pre-sale  Had I checked within half an hour of the sale starting, I'd have got a ticket

0930 tomorrow.  Moment of truth.  I can't imagine how upset I'll be if I fail to get a ticket.  Failure isn't an option.  But surely with 22 shows in a venue the size of Hammersmith Apollo, I'll manage to land a ticket or two?!?

When Led Zeppelin announced their reunion show at the O2 two million people applied for tickets!

I sincerely hope you're successful - Kate Bush only ever did one tour so there will be quite a few people hoping to see her perform.

They have put a little bit of thought into stopping the touts, so I'm hopeful.  People can only buy four tickets across all of the shows rather than four per show and photo ID is needed to get in, so re-selling will be tricky.  But that doesn't change the fact that a lot of people will want to see her!

Usually when there is a concert on there the ticket touts stand outside under the flyover selling! Though you will pay an arm and a leg for one.

Gutted really doesn't sum it up. I'd normally start saving now and tout a ticket, but all with have the name of the person who booked them and you have to enter the venue with said person. Looks like I won't be seeing Kate live after all.

£330 later I have a restricted view ticket towards the back of the venue and a room in a 4* for the Fri 26th Sept show. I'm that much of a Kate Bush fan.

Had it been a gig I wanted to go to, I'd have been gutted at missing out. As it was a gig I needed to go to, my credit card took a bashing.

When I think of all the vape gear I could have got for that sort of money I cringe. But credit cards are for experiences like this and not gear that I should really save for!

I didn't get anywhere near the tickets or the packages to begin with and was nearly at the crying stage. But I kept refreshing the Eventim site, more in hope than expectation, and got the package an hour or so after the tickets went on sale. A lot more than I wanted to spend, but I couldn't run the risk of never seeing her live.

I woke up a few times last night from nightmares about waking up to a power cut or my internet being down, so I took that as a sign I should get tickets at any price!
