I'm only 3 weeks in to vaping, and using an iStick 50w with Nano tank. Really like the Wood & Brass 18650 Mod. May I ask if I can use the Nano with it for now, and if all I need to do is purchase the right battery and charger? And what would the watts range be? and would the amounts automatically adjust? (such a newb, lol, and brain vapourises about ohms etc) Thanks. Hi when you say nano kit what do you mean? is it a kayfun with a nano kit or something else? sorry if i mis understood your post, are you wanting to use the Nano kit witht he wood and brass mod or our new box mod? let me know so i can help Peace Matt.

Hi Matt Sorry if I was unclear, plus, first, was really glad to read things sorted out okay for you and your family. I'm using the Kangertech Nano tank, with the iStick 50w, at the moment. Due to funds and not knowing enough to be able to get into rebuildables yet, I was hoping to be able to use the Kangertech Nano for now, with the Wood & Brass 18650 Mod. Googled a bit and saw someone saying they were using a Kanger Subtank Hybrid with the mod, so wondered if I might just get away with the Nano at this point. Peace.

Hi thanks for clarifying, yes the kanger subtank nano will work absolutely fine on our wood and brass mod. The wood and brass mod is a mechanical mod so does not have any circuitry or protection but because you will be using the pre built coils in the subtank nano there is less chance of any problems, it would still be worth getting an ohm tester or just use the istick to check that the ohms of the subtank nano are ok before fitting to the wood and brass mod.
If you want to add some safety to the device you could always buy a safe fuse (penny fuse) and install or use the dropov safe link. But to be honest as long as the coil in the nano is good and you do not let it run dry there should not be any problems. Hope this helps Matt :-)

I don't know anything about working with mods, so couldn't install the things you reference. What risks are there if the coil failed while using the mod? And what would be the best battery and charger to use?

As its your first time with a mechanical mod i would use a protected battery something like the efest black with red labels just search protected 18650 batteries UK that should bring up some vendors, a protected battery has if you like a built in fuse so will not vent or explode if a problem occurs. aw also make a protected batteries nicore and efest chargers are the best out there they do not over charge and most have a digital display now. avoid batteries with the word fire in there name lol such as trustfire. Hope this helps Peace Matt

Am seeing protected batteries, but different kinds, as well as a note that these batteries are longer thus may not fit device.

Hi look for a good quality battery like aw or efest and the higher mah it has the longer it should last. Protected batteries are a few mm longer but not a problem for the wood and brass mod. Peace matt.

Hi all, as you know here at M-vapes we are very serious when it comes to what products we stock, We will only stock products that i personally am 100% happy with and those that know me will know that i have ridiculously high standards and it has been known for me to chuck products away that fall below my very high expectations. Before we stock a product we will get samples and thoroughly test and inspect before making a decision to stock. We also have products made to our own specifications and offer unbranded and logo free designs on some of our range. These attributes are what makes us stand out from the rest. As you know many other vendors will stock generic products or products in the mainstream often following trends from the USA and China. For a while now we have wanted to stock more variable voltage and variable wattage devices, a while back we stocked the ipv2 and ipv2s from pioneer4you as there products are exceptionally good quality and performance. We will soon be stocking there new range of products. We also wanted a smaller wattage electronic device to fit in the more wallet friendly price bracket, we looked at things like the istick and other devices but nothing stood up to our standards and as you know we are moving away from clones. Well i am very pleased to announce that after testing we are very happy to be stocking the 30W Mini Bomber mod made by Shenxi. This fantastic little box mod is there very own creation, and they have even created a very competent chip inside. Here's a quick look at the specifications- Brand name: shenxi mini bomber 30W Type: vv vw ecig mini bomber 30W Color: Black/Sliver Material: Aluminum&Brass Item size: 42mm*23mm*85mm Power: 7W-30W Load: 0.3Ohm-3.0hm Tread:510 treads Output voltage:3.6V-8V Charge:DC 5V 1000 mah Short circuit protection temperature protection reverse polarity protection Reverse charge protection Battery over discharge protection We have placed the order today 6/5/2015 and should expect delivery around end of next week, i will of course update here when we have the tracking number. We have for know just ordered the gun metal grey colour as per the picture. They will be around £39.95 delivered. Peace Matt. www.m-vapes.co.uk

Nice looking mod.......but in the 30w range it has some stiff competition with similar/better pricing. But Get Off My Cloud will probably buy one
