My results where similar to Des , but in fairness I'm at the opposite end of the house from the router ( on new lappy ) results on my pc (hard wired ) is much better ... get my free virgin upgrade next month . @ gavster ... I think they choose the nearest "major" city .... hehehe  |

Are virgin just so much better somehow or are you guys paying a lot of money to get these speeds?
I have just gone onto sky, and I get on average 14/15 ?

Are virgin just so much better somehow or are you guys paying a lot of money to get these speeds? I have just gone onto sky, and I get on average 14/15 ? Virgin use a dedicated cable so it's always going to be better that any 'normal' broadband. The only problem is, they have to have been down your road and laid the cable... many places still without |

I saw an add the other day for 1,000mb speeds. Not available for a couple of years though. |

I get upgraded now and again followed by in two/three months time with a letter saying along the lines...... "Hello Mr ******" "We aim to provide our customers with the latest and best service possible and for us to do this we have to increase our prices" From <date> this will come into effect onto your account  |
