Sorry we did not make last night, had late appointment in essex, ended up at butlers wharfe quite late, but wonderful, outside all night, probably wont be at next one either as july is the "season" for us nearly cultured people, expect nothing for august as its vapefest (i'm in norfolk that weekend), so see you all in september, bloody year passing to quick. Thanks Blownupdolly, pity you didn't come tonight hun, we could have sat outside, it was really hot even with all the windows open.
I am gonna go to the vape lab near Liverpool street station one Sunday when there's not a f1 race on, I think that may be a little bit more accessible for you, seniorphil says there are some stairs but they are very wide, so could fit a person either side of you to help you. He's gonna put some photos of the stairs up so that you can see.
Great night as always, thanks alanfinal. Did we make the bar spend figure ? I hope so. I was just having a little think, which I shouldn't do after a beer festival, followed by a vape meet, followed by a dodgey goth boozer. One of Dr remnant and my locals is as vape friendly as they come. Great music, great courtyard great food, great staff, and rock solid beer. If I remember they don't have a single step in the place. The loos are upstairs, but they have a downstairs one for rollers like the lively Blownupdolly. We could hold an unofficial meet there anytime we want. I will speak to the landlady tomorrow and check any probs. Mon-fri would be a no-no as it's by Spittlefields market and it's jammed with bankers who I often feel like striking with blunt objects. It's called "The Gun"(I know it sounds like a complete wrong 'un) but it's a great pub and I kind of know they'd welcome us anytime at the weekend. I think we have capacity for a Sunday afternoon bash, in reality all you'd be doing is joining Dr remnant and myself on our normal Sunday vape chin wag. Let us know what you think. Sounds like a good idea to me Phil.

Lol seniorphil you must have hollow legs to be able to drink so much , I think we will do the same again for the next meet as they have the deposit sitting there already, but with numbers down a bit and vapefest stuck in the middle of the two after it would be good to try some alternatives and of course come August when I get made redundant I don't know how capable I will be of attending things for a bit.

Hi all, I thought I'd post this here as I know a few of the GLV are interested, and mart166 is round the corner. Hackspace is having an open day on Sunday 1st June(1pm-7pm I think). All are welcome, and as well getting a chance look around the place, there will be a homebrew bar( it's illegal to sell the stuff so voluntary contributions will be order of the day) a barbeque and all sorts of demonstrations by some of the groups that work in Hackspace including Arduino, Raspberry Pi, robots, quadcoptors, caravan/spaceship simulator, virtual reality simulator, 3d printer, lasercutter, and many. It is Hackspaces yearly attempt to show everyone what goes on behind its normally locked doors. A lot of stuff will take place in the carpark( weather permitting) but they will also be demos in the classrooms and basement workshops. If it rains the marquees are on standby. I'll be there all day, followed by a vape friendly pub. If anyone is interested post here or pm me. Good health, off to the pub to have a war with this hangover.

Phil Sounds like good geeky bloke stuff if i'm in london and can get rid of her for the day i'm there, my type of stuff (without the homebrew of course he lied). You just need to add a few yards away best burgers in london in the seabright. Regards MP

I think I should add that Hackspace is by no way a male only place. We have 940 members and almost half of them are female, and at anyone time in the space the mix is 50/50. Children will also be welcome on openday(look out for the icecream made with liquid nitrogen), although you have to be 16 to become a member.

So next one is looking like June 28th Are the Coach&Horses free for the 28/6? We'll have to make a concerted effort to hit the minimum spend without the last minute panic. No beer festival warm up and I may even push the boat out and consume some solids. I am in!

It would be good to squeeze one in before ukvapefest, but if no one is game speak up, there is a minimum spend and we need commitment. If the sun shines and we all end up down butlers warf it's not do-able. Please post if you can make it or can't.
