which cotton wool

What type of cotton wool do I need for rebuilding. My missus got some boots baby cotton wool balls. They didn't have any organic cotton wool in the store. Is this stuff ok.

Yeah just checked it's 100% cotton wool.That should keep me going for a while there's 200 In the bag.

Hi upnorth i use organic cotton wool balls, Got mine in wilkos i got a deal 2 bags for £2 not sure if the deal is still on though

We had a thread in here about cotton wool a couple of months ago - I can't find it right now but I do remember the long and the short of it is that ALL cotton wool is bleached and treated, but any chemical residue will have evaporated long before it goes near your shopping trolley. 

The organic in organic cotton wool just refers to the way it's grown - yes, it's more ethical to buy it, but it's still treated in exactly the same way as any other cotton wool once it's picked.

Them cotton wool balls you linked to Grandad look white to me, any white cotton is bleached as it is not cottons natural colour. There has been big debate in past organic or not & general consensus is as long as it is 100% pure (undyed ofcourse) cotton wool then it is fine
