Giving threads on anything always improves them - I fixed a couple of customers ones by just giving them a thorough clean at all connection points.

Its had a right good clean down, still nothing. Has anyone had experience of getting fasttech to expedite things? When I was shopping for the svd I remember seeing a uk vendor selling the head only with no tubes for about £20. Of course I cant find it now. This ring a bell with anyone? Hopefully once he's done installing the trident system and the godzilla defences ronaldo could fix the vamo. Till then, back to the crap egos

svd can be a defective board but if you can pull the center pin up clear of the 510 connector make sure you have the wire still connected get a small piece of stiff polythine the type they make windows in a cardboard box cut polythine into a 2cm circle then with sissors cut half way through the circle
if you are still with me slide the cut into the wire of the 510 connector that way it cant short out
get a circuit tester set it to DC current 12v and under connect red wire to center pin and black wire to 510 body if you are till with me press fire button and tell me what voltage it says

Not the best video but might help:
If it was me i would take the heat shrink off, de-solder and fit a rubber (not silicon) grommet you get from the old evod/protank heads (the bit that separates the wires) and fix it onto the centre pin and re-solder wires and re-heat shrink and fit the centre pin back into place.

You're talking to the guy who got a D in GCSE electronics because I couldn't make my doorbell the size of a shoebox work! I understand wood, electronics was all downhill when they said 'logic gate' I'll try and find someone with a bit more knowledge than me (and ideally a circuit tester) to do what you said. Either way, I managed to shear part of the spring loaded centre post off the thing today, so its probably best it goes back! can you fix v2 vamos though? I'm 97% certain its a circuitry issue.

Super-Shiny Same goes with soldering irons. don't have one, dont think i know anyone who does! I used that video for what I've already done. the evod grommet idea sounds worth a try though!

Ok this is ridiculous.
The vamo thats been broken for 6 months, that gives the most pathetic amount of vape for about an hour before dying for weeks again, the one I replaced tbe grommet and added an o ring to the other day and it was still knackered
...its just started working again!
Not 100% though. Cant go much over 3w or 3v before it burns anything, but.....its alive!
