pondering on a few things

Well here goes...

I have an evod starter kit with 2.2mg single coils and the standard battery it came with. I started on 18mg dekang menthol which had quite a throat hit so I went down to 12mg. I'm happy enough (not craving stinkies etc) but think the 12mg is lacking something. Quite like menthol and cherry mixed. Currently trying red cola which for the first few vapes tasted yummy but soon lost the flavour (after about 5 mins) a bit like chewing gum for a while if you know what I mean.

I often find I'm missing a bit if a kick a bit like smoking a 'light' stinky when you have been smoking standard ones.

So...should I go back to 18mg or is there anything else people would suggest? I don't really want to upgrade my evod as I'm still new and like the simplicity of it!

I think you should be on 18mg nic.
But also how long are you using the coils for?
I change mine every 2 days.

smithyjules - I've got Red Cola too, but mine is 24mg, and it is weaker than I would like, but does (sort of taste) like the cola bottles from the pick'n'mix.

I've also got the Dekang Mint (18mg) which is really quite refreshing in a minty way.

It could be the fact that you're vaping 12mg causing the lack of "oomph" I don't know, but if I were you, I would go back to the 18mg to see if that makes a difference

ps. I've got exactly the same as you - 2.2ohm single bottom coil Evods with 650mah batteries

Hi Sammy, I think you might be right about the nic. I just presumed it was like nrt where you drop down in stages.

Changing the coils depends really. They seem to be ok for about 5+ days with straight menthol, a few days less with cherry. Just changed my coil this eve when I cleaned my clearo to try the cola. It's doing the job but just not giving me the hit if you see what I mean?

Hi Captain.

Are you happy with your evod overall? Have you tried different ohm coils?
So disapointed with the cola as the first few vapes were yummy!

1. Get a Spinner or a Twist
2. Try some juice with a higher VG @18mg strength
3. Try a "gourmet juice" like Alchemist Cupboard or T-Juice
3. Try some 1.8 ohm coils on your existing Ecig

I gave up on the evods pretty quickly for that reason smithyjules but I love the mini protanks, same idea same manufacturer same heads, much better vape

Hmmmm

You need the 18mg nic, it is nothing like nrt, totally different ball game.
5 days for menthol with a coil is good, you could try just 4 days.
The way you absorb nic from vaping is totally different, so do not worry about the strength at all, plus ciggies people think are much less than they are.
Up the nic, change the coil more frequent if you need to, that is all you need to do.
If you like the vape evods are giving you they are one of the best out there.

You see I disagree

Evods, never leak, never gurgle, can throw them in your bag, upside down back to front, treat em mean, they just keep performing.
Protanks yep better flavour, but you have to treat them with kid gloves

I popped it on here somewhere many moons ago, Its scary, what you see on the packet aint true. Or maybe it is but we read it wrong by the way it is written.

For that nice hit i like to use:

RY4 Nutzilla (kinda nutty smokey taste) with a dash of caramel @ 18mg
A microcoil with cotton @ 1.6ohms

I can make some 1.6 coils for you with microcoil and cotton if you send some heads and can also throw in some home made RY4 Nutzilla (choice of mg is upto you) for you to try....bare in mind it ain't a fluffy cola sweet juice it's a hate it or love it juice.
