OK, I have to ask.. Why are micro coils better than the other loose coiled ones?

That ^^^ Plus... they heat more consistently. The big attraction for me is that, once built, they can be left in place and just have the cotton pulled out and replaced. Much less faff than making & installing a new coil every time

I don't make nano coils but i think the more coverage with wire on the cotton the better and with nano coils you can use thicker wire and still keep a reasonable ohm coil. Rough Example:
