Also keep an eye on vapourtrails tv (vttv) and listen to ry4 radio. Both keep up to date on current proposals and theres plenty of banter and other vaping related info to be had

thats very depressing indeed.... But i think it may be quite hard to enforce . I mean , people by hydroponic sets don't they for 'personal use' i think a very small percentage of people use hydroponics for groing anything but weed, but still, there are hydroponic catalogues and shops . Also Snus is Illegal to sell in this country , so i just import it from another country for personal use , so do a great deal of people. I don't think it nescessary means just cigalikes will be available ; i mean it specifically says refillables will be allowed , up to 2ml which is about the same size as a clearomiser is now isn't it? It all seems like a complete waste of time really though, like regulating the shape and size of bannanas , but i suppose they have to keep busy. I think though that if there is a concern it is children getting hold of those bottles of liquid and drinking them because they smell like sweets or whatever. Maybe if they came up with a childproof design that would actually be something worth enforcing, maybe

Depending on how you read the regs, ALL current clearos will be banned - not because their capacity is over 2ml but because (1) there's a chance you could get nic liquid on your pinkies during refilling and (2) it is possible to dismantle them, therefore they are not tamper-proof. (One of the other TPD conditions for device approval is that it must be demonstrated that a fixed volume of nicotine is supplied with each use - probably impossible to do, given all the variables of juice type, strength, coil power, etc.)
If the TPD is brought into force as it is right now, then yes, it will still be possible to import devices and liquids from outside the EU but customs/shipping carriers will be instructed to confiscate all 'contraband' that's not already been approved by one of the EU states. Of course they'll never catch every personal import but enough to put off all but the most determined vapers and even they will likely only order kit in small quantities as the package may get inspected and 'stolen' to protect the end-user.
So unless Aspire, Kanger et al redesign their clearos AND get them approved by an EU country (at a potential cost of £millions), they will be banned for import into and sale within the EU. It's pretty obvious that a black market will quickly develop, meaning that new vapers in particular, will have no choice other than awful knock-offs from backstreet rip-off merchants only interested in quick speculative profits. And what could be safer than buying your over-proof juice from the back of a transit in a deserted car park?
This is why I'm actively supporting EFVI.

Do you think that the hard work off all the people that are trying to keep vapeing free for all will pay off? I know that there has been some good and positive press this week on the bbc and in some papers. And that the ASH group are on side and believe that it's the best break though ever for people who smoke. But can we really stop the powers that be from banning us ?
I hope we can.

Vaping for people who don't have existing hardware is doomed. E-Lites, Nicolites and the tobacco company e-cigs win, everybody else loses. However, if liquid is legal, we are in with a shout. Why anybody is selling their clearos and/or tanks is beyond me. With a load of tanks, some rebuilding supplies and liquid, we can go on indefinitely. - - - What we *may* have in a few years is single use clearomisers.... sold for £10 or thereabouts and promising "the equivalent of 400 cigarettes" or something equally ludicrous. - - - I am fairly sure ECITA will collapse and the lying shysters who have made millions selling a totally bogus product will double or triple the cost of a cartomizer and celebrate their wonderful business acumen and the millions in the bank.

The biggest issue is that no matter how many petitions, signatures, protests and complaints are made by US, the general vaping public, once "they" decide that they have to do something because they're making nothing out of it, they will do it regardless of what we say.
Sad but true

I don't have any stinkys to go back on. I've spent all my money on vapeing gear I think with a group as large as ASH not on our side but fighting for us as the lesser of two evils in there eyes so to speak. Then we might hurt t stand a chance of a watered down vershion. There has been some good media reports out this week which is great news for a change. Plus its now reported that the UK has two million users, and growing. Add to that all of our brothers and sisters in Europe. That's not a number member states can turn there noises up two as a % of the voting public. I do believe that some regs need.putting in place. I would not like to see the t things advertised during Childersor family tv shows. I also want to have faith that I'm buying a good quality product I do not want to buy a juice that has been watered down with cat urine( that is not an idea for a recipe by the way people) But over regs I believe will not only kill vapeing it will kill the very people who would vape but could not so smoke instead
