Can anyone point out where batteries, mods or even coils are mentioned in the legislation?

It will make the useable device a cigalike/ sealed unit atomizer, unless I am being totally mislead in all of these thread, that is with a lot of scare mongering , is this your point exactly ? Or do you just wish to have a good old row ?

Really I love my magnetos. I have at least 2 connector heads (might buy more) and the rest is just a telescopic tube with a magnetic button that can be fixed (when the magnets go) with spider magnets. I have 50 spider magnets I got for £4 off ebay Sorted... as for rbas. My davides won't last for ever but long enough. As and when it comes in I will either get my nic elsewhere other than from e-liquid (just check out unwanted NRT on ebay LOL) and vape whatever or figure something. china will always have nic liquid. PG and VG are unlikely to get banned. Flavourings last me years. I can get heads from china and like figure somewhere to get o-rings for my davide... Sorted

That sounds a good set up and plan. You will be able to get the o-rings from a plumbers merchant.

I just don't see the point in getting worried about it...@bitsnpcs. I don't see the point in filling my entire freezer (it's a fridge freezer so not huge) with nic liquid. It's for food. not nic liquid.
I've just thought about it and am not worried:)

I agree @johanino there is no point in getting worried about it.

Or do you just wish to have a good old row ? I can't help but think people are over reacting. The document doesn't say tanks have to be sealed units simply child/spill proof which to be fair should be simple enough to engineer. There is no mention of mods/batteries/coils etc yet people seem to believe they will be banned. The trick is to read what's there in the document not what you think is there.

The trick is to read what's there in the document not what you think is there. You could be right or you could be less right. If ECITA say refillables are in line to be banned, then they are more likely than any of us to understand the implications. I suspect they will be banned; and am stocking up on refillable tanks, almost regardless of the exact "type".... Although I am not the #1 fan of ECITA*, they do represent companies that sell refillable equipment. I can't imagine them scaring the non-cig-a-like members of their association without good reason. - - - *I don't like ECITA a great deal as they permit companies to make claims about their products which are little more than lies to sell products to the unsuspecting.

From my understanding the tanks currently on the market would be banned because they are not child/tamper proof but I suspect as usual a lot of things will come down to semantics. You could argue that if a tank is marketed as rebuildable then you wouldn't be tampering with it by taking it apart ? Also:- Article 2 (17) ‘refill container’ means a receptacle that contains a nicotine-containing liquid, which can be used to refill an electronic cigarette; In my mind if a manufacturer labeled their tanks as "not suitable for nicotine" or something similar this would circumvent the regulation. Like I said, it's all about interpretation and there's ways and means around most things!

Like I said, it's all about interpretation and there's ways and means around most things! Let's hope so. ...and the solutions are not too expensive.

I hope so too but to be fair I'll happily buy from outside the EU if it comes down to it.
