Clivia cap vc alone tastes nothing like grants regardless of what percentage you use , as you know his is very sweet, and has a toffee/ caramel taste to it, you may like the vc on its own, but it will be completely different

If you are using it on its own, I would make up various samples , 15%, 18%, 20%,25% and see what you think.
4 weeks is a long time to wait, to try again.
I did that, I then experimented adding other stuff to it.
To get it like grants you would need to add sweetener and ddl
