Another advantage of the ceramic tweezers is they are not magnetic. I hate it when i pick mine up and find bits wire off cuts stuck to them, or they just won't let go of a particularly fine wire I'm trying to position.
£7 is cheap, you can pay 10 times that and more.

I have some cross lock ones and they are really useful, but the point of the ceramic tweezers is to be able to squeeze a micro-coil while firing it, metal will short & burn out the coil and plastic will just melt. I just searched eBay for "ceramic tweezers" and the prices are frightening most are about a ton!
