Ultrasonic cleaner - help me choose please? :)

I also have the JPL 7000 not a bad bit of kit... just wish you could have a 30 min cycle on it

I am just about to think about getting an ultrasonic cleaner, but am a bit loath to pay £40+ (ish) for a hi-tech one - will the battery operated £10 ones do the same job?

The JPL 7000 is £27.99 on Amazon, so what I COULD do (sneaky look left & right) is buy it and then charge my wife for cleaning her endless amounts of jewellery.

Do I need to get the ultrasonic cleaning solution too?

Only thing I'm cautious about is the basket that you put your clearos/driptips/coils in - do they fall through the holes in the basket? Will it be difficult to retrieve them if they do?

Same question about the JPL 7000 really & do they do exactly the same job?

I have a JPL and they are very good. Not sure about the one you linked to don't know the brand and postage is very high. There's no problem retrieving small bit that fall through the baskets as they are sealed units like a basket in a saucepan. You can use them without the basket if you wish. There's also no need for the cleaning fluid a few drops of washing up liquid is fine. I usually do mine through 2 cycles one with washing up liquid and/or Milton's then with clear water no get rid of any taste from that. That's if I can be bothered I also just do twice with clear water and it's fine even menthol and strong juice comes out.

Okay, now that one of my right fingers is used to the BUY button - I am just about to get the Kanger Aerotank Mega to go on my Zmax - I just need to know REAL quick if the standard single coil will work in it or do I have to buy the dual coils?

Please be quick answering cos my finger is twitching lol

It will come with 2 coils, but buy some spare - it would be a travesty to use a stock single coil in it, if they even fit, which I have no idea

I think the single coil will fit the kanger dual coil clearo's but not the other way round.

Yes - I'm on the shopping cart bit of myepack & it says that the Mega uses "Upgraded Dual Coils".

Haven't clicked buy yet just in case the single/older dual coils like the 'normal" Aerotank uses won't work, and I'll just buy another normal Aerotank not the Mega.
