**IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT PLEASE READ ** RE EFVI

We have been working hard behind the scenes for a while now, to try and come up with an idea to fund the next batch of Dodo boxes. We've currently run out of the first batch that were funded by ECITA, and although this first batch have proved a great success, we thought it would prove even more if this next batch were funded by the vaping community itself.



After a few failed attempts at getting something going, we have finally decided upon the "Dodobox Appeal". This appeal is to fund a batch of 1000 Dodo boxes, which includes the materials, printing, postage and packing etc, and we have estimated that we will need approximately £2000. We thought that a donation of £2.50, (which is about the cost of 1 Dodo box), would be a good starting point, but there is no maximum donation amount, so any millionaires out there.... Wink



The launch of the DodoBox Appeal will take place at 12noon Saturday 10/5, where the donations page will go live on the EFVI website at www.efvi-uk.co.uk, and donations will be able to be accepted via a Paypal donations button. All anyone who wishes to help needs to do is click the Paypal button where you will be taken to a secure donations page to enter your donation amount, (£2.50 would be great, but anything you can give would be appreciated), and payment details etc, and it all only takes a couple of minutes to complete. Andrew Abrook aka TheFuriousFury79 has taken time out to produce a promotional video for the appeal, the link will be at the end of this post. Germany launched a similar scheme not long ago and reached their target within 2 days of launching the Appeal!! If we could replicate their success that would be an amazing achievement, but we're not doing this to break any records, we just want to raise enough money to fund the Dodo boxes, and that's it. If we can show ECITA that we can do this, then there is a greater chance that they will fund the next batch of boxes.



So this is a plea to all here on this forum. Please do whatever you can to help. From 12noon Saturday 10/5/14, donations will be able to be accepted. This really is an exciting time in the life of EFVI UK! Let's all help each other to move another step closer to reaching our signature target by getting these 'proven' Dodo boxes into more and more vape shops across the UK, and perhaps we can smash that UK target.

Can you Donate as little as £2.50 ? We've now installed 450 Dodo Boxes all across the UK and our signature rate has doubled ! Unfortunately, the original allocation of boxes have "Sold Out" and there were many more outlets willing to take one and collect signatures on our behalf.

Let me get this straight, its not just 7 individual countries hitting their targets, it also has to be 1 million signatures all told by the end of November, is that right? So whilst admiral work is being done in this country, other EU member states seem to be lagging behind massively. What happens for those places?

I can tell you Pennywise that there is a lot of collaboration between the countries ,its quite clear there have been 3 successful approaches

1) by Finland who got a massive help + boost from totally supportive on-line vendors who put out e-mails+ newsletters along with promotional leaflets

2) Spain came up with an excellent idea where 200 devoted people pledged to get 200 signatures each ...this has had a great impact there

I will copy you this also that I wrote elsewhere

SCHEMES

Ireland - had dodo trial of 10 boxes -info only available on 1 box -filled in 4-5 sheets but not input into the system

France- 2000 Bullboxes delivered to a Central location ~100 out in the field - a few infrastructure and map issues

Spain- tentatively interested

Italy -contact finally made

Denmark -funding own box scheme of own design + graphics

Germany -raised 2500 Euro to fund a box scheme

Hungary - trial of 15 Dodoboxes but no reports back

Poland - as Denmark but only just started to look into

Cyprus -10 Dodoboxes delivered but no reports back

So including us thats 10 countries with a box scheme in place or under detailed consideration

Without me waffling on the EU target is 1million with 7 countries having to achieve the threshold BUT even if every country just managed its threshold figure that amounts to only half a million .

So its a massive task ,we have led the way with the box collection scheme + concept and I know from dealings with our EU colleagues they are keen to get something in place as soon as possible

To sum it up in a nutshell it is a really tiny collection box for collecting signatures in bricks + mortar shops ,the signature slips are also quite small -to suit the box 

Imagine a normal piece of A4 paper that was the original size there are now 12 signature slips on the same A4 sized paper see ukvapers.org/attachment.php?aid=27309  for privacy these are cut into 12 individual slips

Many others deserve  equal or greater credit lairey , the guy who came up with the idea and #dodomeister slimukv especially . But also to the teams of Regional and Local Co-Ordinators 

final mention to a guy who gets little credit but who has played a key role in the success ceedee for his absolutely stunningly good maps and "vendor hunting" less than 2 months ago we had about 200 on the map now its approaching 600


The active vendors and the local people also on the ground should not be missed out

So a massive thanks from me to everybody who is making this happen .....final plug we need more volunteers!!!!

Community at work hopefully @vaping Bad  its one of the first occasions I can recall in 15 months of my Vaping life that people genuinely are trying to work in a United way with zero 

ego's to tarnish and harm it

I have had a Dodo box in my shop for just over a week and collected 6 signatures, every single one counts, if you haven't already signed please do.
