Well, Greg - it seems that some people use the voltage to change the flavour, other people use the watts to change the flavour & they are both right lol I have put a lime eliquid in a Protank 2 Mini (waiting for an Aerotank to arrive) on the MVP, turned the volts down to minimum and did the same with the watts. Then I turned the watts up 1 button press, tried it again, turned it up to 10 and the inhale was warm, so turned it back to 7.5 and the flavour is definitely more pronounced than on the Evod with the same juice in it. I am easily confused I guess & it'll start all over again when the Aerotank arrives (probably tomorrow) lol Its ok, don't worry, I just have to find THE flavour that is utterly gorgeous in the MVP and use the Evods for the daily carrying around stuff. I am just confused about whether the flavour is better using the watts or the volts (amongst other things).

youll probably settle down around 8 watts as that seems to be most peps happy place (mine included) but at some point you are probably going to end up with a kayfun clone of some sort and tbh they not that hard to coil and well worth the effort you know yer wana

I am just confused about whether the flavour is better using the watts or the volts (amongst other things). You need to select voltage mode or wattage mode, you can only be in one mode at any time. They both do exactly the same thing but using voltage is a little harder to work out. Ultimately whichever mode your in you're looking to find the right wattage to get best flavour from particular juice, it will vary between juices. If you use wattage setting lets say at 8 watts then whatever atty you put on (within reason) you will vape at 8 watts. If your in voltage mode then you have to work out your wattage based on your voltage setting and the ohms of your atty, if you then change your atty for a different resistance the wattage will change for the same voltage setting. My advice would be always to use wattage on a device that has such an option and goner voltage setting. if you do use voltage mode then to work out your wattage you need to use equation w= voltage squared divided by resistance. or you could ignore all of the above and just have a play with all settings until you find what's best

CaptainChaos , geeza it's simple , coil resistance 1.8ohms ? Want to use voltage mode? Try 1.8ohmd x 2 = 3.6volts , then go up and down on volts until YOU ( and only you will know what tastes right for you) are happy. Variable wattage mode ? Simple go up and down until you find the vape which you like. Still confused? Watch this, if your are still confused have a pint and kebab.

I notice on the VTR that when I have had a tat with the watts it makes subtle differences, yet when I tat in Voltage mode it can make leaps of differences....... They are the same really probably just your perception and generally voltage adjustment is probably courser relatively speaking. if your vaping at 8 watts and you increase vw to 9 watts then you've only increased by 1 watt, goes without saying. With vv voltage and assuming you have a 2 ohm atty fitted, if you're vaping at 4 volts then that's 8 watts, increase voltage to 5 volts and now you're vaping at 12.5 watts, quite a jump. Thank you for that, I am thinking I understand.......that would be why I feel more of a difference when tatting with the Voltage...the wattage would be higher Without me knowing per say

@purple1234 thank you - that was sort of explained quite well thank you. Wattage it is - I'm not going to arse about with voltage even if the MVP 2 is innaccurate (as he said). The voltage can stay exactly where it is With regard as to which mode I'm using on the MVP, if I press the wattage button & change it, does that mean I am in VW mode from then on?

Bless you, Greg thank you for putting my mind at rest. Okay - next question - with the lime I've got in the clearo on the MVP - the wattage increase should bring out the flavour more until it's at a level that I like. If I go higher & higher, what happens to the flavour?

Thanks - obviously you are right & I am a total lightweight - I am going to wait till my Aerotank arrives tomorrow & just try all of the flavours out one by one
