Superb video tutorial Roscopecotrain Very easy to follow and at a nice pace with excellent views. Will be using this for my Kayfun lite and Russian 91% clones. Thanks very much. It is much appreciated, and bookmarked.

Good vid Roscopecotrain enjoyed it!
Do you think you get better flavour/taste from a micro coil and cotton over normal coil and Silica?
Also you say 3.2 Kanthal should it not be thinner than that?
Sorry for all the questions, just want to be sure before I order stuff.
John

archiecat - when I first got my Russian, I put an ordinary coil wound on silica to get it up and running. The difference between that and a microcoil and cotton wool is marked, believe me! As for .32 Kanthal, that's what I use, 6 wraps around an M2 bolt gives me 1.2ohm, and a cracking vape. The bolt is a little larger in diameter too, and that helps an old git like me to get the cotton wool through too

@johanino - there used to be a Kayfun mini I believe, although I don't know if it's been cloned and have a feeling it's not made any more - can someone help here please? I'm also not sure of its dimensions either . . . ETA: a quick search shows that it's discontinued at Cloud9Vaping, and Fasttech don't do a clone. Alilbaba have one on their site, but you need to order a minimum of 20!! There does appear to be a clone available state-side www.angelcigs.com/kayfun-mini-v2-1-rebuildable-atomizer-clone-by-ivogo.html, but not on these shores, unless someone know differently!

Give both a try and see how you get on. 0.32 kanthal is what i use for all my micro coils and then i use 0.2 for normal coils. I have used 0.42 kanthal in my drippers but that is tough to work with. Hope this helps. Just to add, i use a 2mm wide screwdriver to wrap my coil round. If you want a longer micro coil but the same ohms then use a thinner screwdriver/drill bit so you can wrap more coils for the same ohms.

RoscopecotrainI have been messing (too much) with Kayfuns and have decided larger diameter coils are the way to go. The amount of cotton wool at the ends of the wick is important to get good wicking. The thinner the coil, the thinner the cotton wool. Too thin or short in those wells (that you get once you screw the chimney on) and it's dry hit city...and then burning too.
