charon it does go off because with our fridge, if you close the door really really REALLY slowly, the plunger pushy button thing JUST gets pushed before the door closes & you can see through the crack that the light has gone off. Not that I am sad enough to ever try that, of course. Someone told me. *** Why were wasps ever invented?
