Got some cotton candle wick to try, and am having some trouble cutting it. It's a bugger with ordinary scissors, so I wondered what I can pick up on the high street to help. It's ok with a stanley knife, but that's not feasible to trim when the coil is on the mod. I know I could send for some proper wick cutters, but not sure how effective they are. Anyone used them?

Been on a hunt for some toe nail clippers, which I was too wussy to use for their intended purpose. Must be here somewhere.

any info on using candle wick?
I notice some listings on eBay for 10 metres of unwaxed braided cotton, naturally bleached etc etc and it sounds like it could be good for wicking.
At under £2 for 10 metres and no delivery costs it sounds really cheap but does anyone have experience of how well it works.....

I tried it Pep and didn't find it any good it ended in the bin and I went back to cottonwool. I've also tried the cotton yarn and found it muted the flavour compared to cotton wool in the protank mini's that I use. I'm sticking to cottonwool now.

That's terrific thanks. Just tried some for the first time. I think the stuff I have is a bit dense, but it wicks okay. Nothing mind blowing though.

I've ordered a pair of these - I had a pair for work, years ago, and they were very sharp. Cheap as chips, BTW.
