Kanger Protank Microcoil Spitting

Hi all its my second attempt at doing a microcoil and im getting loads of taste and flavour. If I leave it for 5 minutes or longer the first time I use it again it spits and I get a gobful of juice lol. After that it works fine until I leave it to stand again. So the only thing I can do is fire it up before I suck and then after that its fine. I tested coil before putting cotton wool in and there was no hotspots. Not sure what gauge wire I used as I have a few but its the thinest I have got. Done 8 wraps for 2.2ohms. 
Does anyone else have trouble with microcoils spitting?

Just been reading and realised the thicker the wire the less ohms you will get? Is that correct? I always thought it was the other way round lol. Would that be the cause to the spitting?

Just looked in my box and found a bit of 0.3mm 28awg. How many wraps should I use as I havent got much and don't want to waste it lol.

Thanks. I tried with 0.3mm 28awg with 10 wraps and got 0.9ohms. Then I tried 11 and got 1.0ohms but it still wasn't enough to fire the battery (Vamo) so I used some 0.2mm 32awg and did 8-9 wraps as lost count lol. Got 1.7ohms with that wire and getting lots of vape. Think I will get some 0.25mm wire as the 0.3mm is too thick and anymore that 11 turns and it won't fit in the space provided.
