usb hub in mains charger?

Thanks for clearing that up Gordy - Chrissie suggested one of these to me in another context (same as the one Perpetua links to) and I wasn't entirely sure how they worked. The light has now dawned and I can see how useful it could be as in effect it can operate like a mains plug in USB socket (e.g. for a charger) and also as a way of connecting multiple USB 2.0 devices to a computer. I've ordered one.
