My other half likes apple pie and vanilla custard and as I'm just about to checkout on chefs vapour with a basket of goodies I thought I'd add one to my order. There are several on there and not sure which one to buy. Any ideas?

Flavourart's is my favouite from the ones I've tried rednutt, yummy.  Though I don't think you'll go far wrong with Capella or FlavorWest's versions either. |

I use Super-Shiny Dutch apple pie recipe from our recipe thread. It's really nice. I also quite often mix it 50/50 with some vc to get a more custard hit off it. |

I was going to order Dutch Apple pie because it sounded nicer but out of stock to I just stuck TPA apple pie in the basket. Going to make a start on the vanilla custard recipe with French vanilla deluxe and then Super-Shiny Dutch Apple pie is next on the hit list. Thanks guys x |

Thanks guys x I mixed up some of iLardyboys Apple Pie a la Mode last week (still steeping) with TPA Apple Pie instead of the Dutch Apple Pie listed on the recipe as the same thing happened for me, no stock of Dutch apple pie  so resorted to buying TPA Apple Pie too. Super-Shiny Dutch Apple Pie and Rhubarb & Custard is next on my list too |

Mmmmm Rhubarb n custard. Another on the hit list It is really nice but i have now changed the recipe a bit for my easiness, I just make my regular VC, its very similar to PVC with 1% Vanillan. When its 3 or 4 weeks old, i will decant 20ml or so into a bottle and add 7% (about 1.4ml) Rhubarb concentrate to the 20ml and leave for a week for the flavours to blend together. Its very nice and no need to mix 2 separate recipes now |
