Ripshod could be right, I don't know about the current ones, but on XP & Vista nVidia caused a lot of compatibility probs. Goto control panel, Devices, Device Manager and find your video card look at the properties and you will find the driver info in there.

Just click on 'setup' (picture of a monitor). When it finishes you should have to reboot and job done. If the probs continue we'll have to look at other things

it setup (should say application in type column), you just have file extensions hidden in your settings (default)

Ok I have extracted, downloaded, installed whatever it was, restarted now I have a box saying - .. hold up ..

Select 'yes' for that one. If you've not seen that before then the old drivers were indeed from micro$0ft. You might need the admin password if you're not admin on the lappy

I clicked run, but it has just vanished off the screen, and I can not see anything happening, should I start again?

Nooo. Check the system tray, the proggy is in there. It's just easy access for controlling acceleration and reporting error. Next step is to test video playback with a youtube that was giving you problems before
you can delete that 'new folder' now, won't be needed again.

It seems to be working, but then sometimes it does, thankyou for all your help, if I do hit problems again I will shout you, thanks so much its been a pain.

Do I need to do anything now? ( apart from make a coffee lol ), or just carry on as normal
