Most lithium's have an absolute min around 2.5 V, BUT when you fire your device the voltage across the battery drops so 3.2 V is a much more sensible real world figure, if sub-ohming don't go below 3.5 V for safty. I found that on a mech 5.5 - 3.6 V is the lowest I never go as the vape quality has dropped by then.

Why can't the battery go below 3.4v? It can severely limit the life of a battery. And you can normally tell when it's low, as the vape is quite weak. "However, particularly in the case of lithium ion batteries which are used in the vast majority of portable electronics today, a voltage cut-off below 3.2V can lead to chemical instability in the cell." As a generic be safe rule, fair enough, but it is different for different cells.. efest imr18490 for instance can be discharged to 2.6v with no issues.. I've been doing that for months in my danis..

''Be safe'', as you don't want to have a thermal reaction from your battery. Get a voltage meter that screws on the 510 connection if you are unsure.

True, i just use it as a fail safe bottom limit for my own batteries, but like you said different batteries have different limits. And especially trying to help a new user with their first mech mod. Once he is more experienced, he will know the limits of the batteries he owns.

I got the one off ebay. Arrived with one end hanging out and was poorly made. I've now got the one from MVapes and it's much better made. Only problem was it came without instructions. Connected it and the display was gobblydegook. Read OK when I turned it up the right way though.

Only problem was it came without instructions. Remember the birds and the bees method of the putting the thing in the hole, its just like that, but less tiring.

If you hadn't posted the link I'd still be sitting here wondering if I was judging the voltage by vape correctly. Plus I'll now have the obligatory backup when the ebay fella sends me a replacement.
