I did get the idea from someone else. They used a water butt filled with water and a channel to signify the battery and coil, but I thought a straw may be better, as we can all relate to taking a mouthful of water and blowing it out through a straw. Also a different diameter of straw will produce the same result just as thicker wire does.

Sorry I'm thick! I've read it ten times and still can't work it out I've just bought this on advice from other members here, Itaste MVP V2.0 the only bit I seem to have grasped is you use VW or VV but not both, the coil I'll be using is 2.1 Ohm, duel coil, what do I use VW or VV do I just set it at say 4.0v, I honestly don't have a clue, can someone advise me on the best set up to start with, I'll get to grips with it once I get started playing with it, I just don't want to blow myself up trying, this is my first mod, so I really need some help here, Mow,,,,

You will get there; it is easier than it seems. I stick to wattage and vape most stuff at 8 watts but turn it up or down from there. Experiment the worst you can do is pop a coil, the MVP is regulated and protected so it is very safe and easy.
Mostly this article needed for mech mods and rebuidables but useful for everyone and it does sink in slowly.

Thanks again Alis! your coming through for me today, but your talking to a man that's had computers since they first hit the home market and I still can't work the number pad or half the buttons, show me something once and I'll get it straight away! but give me instructions and they may as well be in Chinese, am I right in thinking if the Amps are set a bit to high you will get a burnt taste or is there more to it?

Forget amps, that is the current...
wattage is the power to the coil and yes if it is too high you will get a burnt taste, 8 watts is about average or you can start lower and keeping increasing till you hit the sweet spot, if you get a burnt taste turn it down a notch, simples

See! told you I was useless I meant watts you do know if it all goes wrong I'm gonna blame you I can't wait for it to come now, I'm going to be a mobile fog cloud, and when we go out on the boat it'll look like it's steam driven, you know I'm sure it worked out cheaper when I was smoking, Mow,,,,

In wattage mode a mod still delivers volts, but you are asking it to calculate How many volts to send based on a calculation. It will look at the watts you have asked for, then it will check the resistance of the Coil, then calculate how many volts are needed to achieve the power (watts) that you asked for. The idea behind this is that the power (watts) can be used as a constant value, one that You can use across any changes of tanks/coils to give you simmilar results regardless Of what you have attached to your mod. If your new to wattage mode, then start at 8 watts and adjust in small increments, taking A few puffs on each setting, until you find the perfect power setting for you. Working in VW mode should be much simpler than Voltage mode, as that needs Resetting any time you change a tank or coil.

VW is VV for lazy people who can't be bothered worrying about coil resistance.
This is me so just set it to VW and find your sweet spot - it will then work the same whatever atomiser you put on.
That is why VW beats VV

Sorry mowjo it wasn't my intention to confuse new owners of VV/VW devices, but needed to turn it inside out to explain what was happening when you use the different modes of the device. As said above VW mode is the hassle free way of using these. Somewhere around 8 watts should give you what your looking for. Going to change the title to VV/VW Theory so it attracts users who want to know how they do what they do.
