Unfortunately I have a iPad 1 lol Blakey yes mine looks the same as that and yes the screw just spins nice one I'll give it a go now cheers

Right I'm gonna give it a go myself watch this space lol and thanks for all the replies I really appreciate it That's the spirit, if it's just a case of a bit of solder then it should be dead easy, if it's a wire that is soldered to the board that needs soldering don't let the soldering iron stay on the board too long, the board does not like to be heated up too much....work quickly.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I've managed to fix it dusted off my very old soldering iron and hey presto working great again thanks everyone for the support I'll get it wrapped up for my dad and mite actually order one for my self thanks for the help

just got in but great that you have fixed it it would have been a very easy quick fix for me if you buy one for yourself re solder yours before use then it wont go faulty
