Rico Fashion Summer 001 White 50g, some people found it a Hobycraft in the reduced bin as they have discontinued it now.  Sav on VTTV put this link up the other day, p&p a bit steep @ £6 IIRC.  I would boil it twice in distilled/pure water if you can (I would boil it in tap water if ours wasn't so hard).

Ok folks here is my so far results.

My coils are 1.8mm ( is that right , I buy them, 1.8 something lol.)

They are 2 ohm.

I used the ricoh, rico, richo.

I cut it to a point at one end but even so it was a struggle at first to get it through the coil, once through it pulled along ok.

I soaked the cotton, and then let it soak for quite some time in the clearo.

The result was it crackled and fizzed and sounded wonderful, but my juice had a smokey taste, not burnt at all all, just smokey.

I then tried the cotton yarn erm the thinner one that looks like wool.

I got exactly the same result, only more smokey.

All idease welcome ...........

"I then tried the cotton yarn erm the thinner one that looks like wool." I might have the wrong end of the stick here, but the Rico is the softer tubular one which could be described as the thinner one that looks like wool. The other one is stiffer, flat and looks like woven tape.

Next to it is the rico fashion stuff that is also way cheaper. Not sure if the yarn is undyed etc, but Ive used it as it is and it performs similarly to cotton wool but as has been mentioned, take a little wetting, when it is it's fine. The Rico stuff also takes a bit of wetting but is my preference. Again, similar to cotton wool but a big plus for me is the flavour seems to tail of with cotton wool, but the ribbon seems not to suffer from this.

It is sort of like 4mm tubigrip in construction and I find it is a good fit for 2mm coils.



I haven't got any pictures of it in a coil but 2 lengths of the other stuff is fine in a 2mm coil.

sammy13 If you using those two that mrs mac sent you then they're the ones I sent her, I may have been vaping HoL juice when I packed them

Joking aside, did you wash/boil them? that should help with any off flavours but apart from that I can't think of any other reason.

You've got me thinking now, maybe being stored in a home of a HoL tobacco vaper has impregnated them!! I wouldn't notice after all.

I have used both of these and I think they were both great no smoked flavour just do as they should worked great lot better than cotton balls brilliant

Lol,

I didn't do anything with them other than thread them through a coil.

Look back a few pages , it has been suggested that perhaps my 1.8mm coil is too small??
