Kanger Aerotank Mega problem?

It all seems to be going pear-shaped at the moment

Got my Zmax V5 out to use it with my favourite juice for the first time, and opened my brand new (genuine) Kanger Aerotank Mega to finish off the stunningly great vape I was expecting.

Sadly, the Aerotank Mega would NOT open to get the coil & juice in & despite attempts from me & my work colleagues, it just wouldn't open. I could remove the bottom section to reveal the glass tank, but that doesn't help, really.

Any ideas why this might be & how to open it so I can actually use it?

The Airflow bit rotates round & round freely but nobody here can get a grip on that part of the tank to take it off so I can actually use it

My head is being totally "done in" by this catalogue of vape-fails at the moment & I'm just about to get rid of it all & carry on with my Evods.

Try marigolds or a elastic band wrapped around the part you need to open.

Take the tank off & jam the bottom section between the door & frame then twist or some pliers/grips with a cloth so you don't damage the finish

It's an excellent point and one that I should really have mentioned in my review of the mega. Thing is, I've got so used to using my vape-grips on every device I figured everyone else has too! I really think these are essential for any vaper who's struggling to undo one thing from another.

Anyway - I have posted the faulty Mega back to the vendor, so hopefully it'll either be sorted out or replaced.

Just an update - I received an email from Ash at the end of last week who basically said "Received your Mega, took it out of the box, turned the airflow bit and it was ok".

Erm .... oh crap, now all my struggling & asking strong people to try to turn it makes me look like a complete doughnut now

I received it in the post today & it turns a treat now, and Ash was kind enough to add 3 coils too for no reason other than he's a really great bloke I guess - don't know what sort of coils they are though, so I filled the Mega up with my fave juice (Spider Venom) and tried it.

It didn't seem as "intense" as when I've got it in the Protank that came with the Zmax, so it's gone back in its box

You will need to vape a tank full to give the coil a chance to bed in before it's at its best. Also, did you try adjusting the airflow whilst you were vaping to see what difference it made?

Ditch the mega's coils and get some protank3/aerotank dual coils. Miles better

I'll wait until the Protank is empty then try again with normal duals on it.

Very strange, definitely something wrong there. But what I don't know.

I quickly learned when I first got mine that you really do have to go through a full tank to break the heads in. Also took a while to get the settings right, slightly more power than a nautilus with the same juice.

Other than that I have nothing to suggest
