I heartily recommend Torchy.
I tentatively placed my 1st order yesterday, followed instructions on UKV and paypalled to his paypal and wrote in notes what I was ordering and within a few hours I had a personal reply and confirmation of order.

What do you know that I don't?

@scooby - I did actually mean purple efest - but gave the link to the IMR - which are anyhow supposed to be one of the best - but that's up to the experts to decide and thanks for pointing it out

I tested a lot of defective purple efests at work and from what I saw I wont have a purple effests in my house the test results I did proved this I wouldn't have them in my bin I wish I could publish the test results but I am not allowed so just trust me buy a different battery steer away from purple efests

I've got no fascination with sub-ohming, nor cloud chasing, I just want to vape.
Just 18350's for a mech mod

Can someone please confirm/remind me.... I want to order some more batteries, now idf my memory serves me right I need protected batteries for a mech mod and unprotected for a vv/vw, is that right? also how do I know if I need flat top or button top? and lastly... I was looking for 18350 so I can use my mods in a 'shorter' mode but I cant find them on Focalecig, dont they sell them Foclecig or am I not looking in the right place (I'm presuming after yesterdays message that Focal are now able to ship batteries to the UK again) One day I'm going to know all these things and stop asking questions Hello Q,
Unfortunately, we have stopped selling lithium batter due to China customs restriction Hope you could find better answer from some else.

For a mechanical mod, I highly recommend either efest red imrs or aw imrs. Just make sure they're from a reputable vendor.
no need for protected (ie. A cell wiith a pcb board affixed to the top) as long as you have a way to test your coils(multimeter)

Q The Panasonic NCR which Torchy was referring is on my list of recommended batteries battery buying guide and is not the same as a standard ICR. Torchy himself has a IMR section on his site torchy 'IMR safe chemistry batteries' Although he doesn't 'not recommend' ICR he does say IMR can deliver higher current avoiding thermal build-up. Im probably over cautious when being asked to recommend a battery and am trying to recommend the safest battries I can think of.
