When I was first starting out in vaping I came across many forums including this one. I joined AAEC because it seemed friendly and convivial. It’s the only forum I registered with and I learnt enough to set me on my way. As I advanced I became frustrated at the lack of easily assessable info, or contradicting info in different threads so ended up looking elsewhere. There has been a number of very good guides by hijack they would have been very useful to me and no doubt will be for many other members both now and in the future. I feel they do run the risk of getting buried in a sea of threads. I’d like to suggest that a new category or board be created as a home for them. This could also include things like coiling and resistance calculators that can then easily be found for reference. It could also be a home for other tutorials etc that seem to take up so much space at the top of other boards. I feel that a dedicated space for important info, commonly used calculators and guides that’s easily found would be an asset to this forum. Cheers, Chris.

I think that's a great idea... maybe as a sub-board of General?

I like your guides as well Super-Shiny your written coiling guides are the best ive seen. I can always shamelessly bump my threads if needed until I get banned from doing it.

A Guides board sounds like a good idea to me - I'll run it past the rest of the forum staff

There has been a number of very good guides by hijack No mention of me of to the corner to have a double Not come across any of your guides Super-Shiny In truth hijack seemed to time his guides, particularly the battery one, to coincide with a number of post on the subject, plus there always seem to confusion regarding battery selection for mech mods/regulated mods with lots of people posting questions. I didn't want them to just disappear. I think a 'Knowledge Base' section would make life much easier, after all who wants to answer peoples questions on discharge rates when you could be spending their money for them

I also feel that they should be locked, it should be a place members can go for knowledge, to get facts, information and skills, not to enter into a discussion. When technology advances and new batteries become available or commonly accepted facts change for example, the forum staff can make a judgment whether to update or not.

Wonderful idea, and thank you!
I know it involves a fair bit of work by our wonderful staff to decide which threads to copy/ shunt over and lock. It'll be an excellent resource and I'm sure it'll be worth the rejig!
I'm now I'm an old hand but I still have to root around and ferret through forums and search to bookmark certain threads of use to me... and it can be frustrating when I'm looking for a specific thread to link to answer a newbie query.
sounds like a great plan!

Yes I knew when i put in the suggestion it would involve a fair amount of work and the admin are to be commended for taking it on. Perhaps it would be best to do it bit by bit to ease the work load and to ensure the quality of the inclusions.
