I've already told her that me hiding the bank statement is a completely normal side-effect of giving up smoking.

Mrs ejog, your darling hubby has to spend a wee bit, so that he can continue being the happy, sweet smelling & healthy husband you would like.
Not that I suffer it & hide bank statements, but I believe that is another side effect of coming off tobacco use & should ease......eventually, maybe, at some point.

Hi ejog - sorry I am a little late but Hi & welcome, I have only been off the cigs for a short while compared to many others but once I started to buy the shinny mods I could not stop, once you get the hang of what you are doing with coils and making juice there will be no stopping you
Must admit though - I have even gone to the extreme of having some vape mail delivered to my works now so the other half don't know, except for when I am stupid enough to vape the mod in-front of her!
