It's not rust, it's just needing a clean, stainless steel doesn't rust. Anyway low ohms, dual coil, wick loose enough to move through the coils without hanging. Snip it and lay it on the deck. Make sure the coils are up in line with the air holes too then take a big lung inhale and get back to me. Agree about good quality stainless resisting corrosion, but poor quality stainless can corrode. I washed the Stillare in warm soapy water when it arrived and dried it well, a few hours later that ring of what looks like rust had appeared. I'll give it the once over with some silicon paper when I clean it next and hopefully it will for an oxide layer. Still waiting for the batteries to charge then I'll be back.

Just wipe it off, it's really not rust, had the same thing on another dripper but not sure ecactly what it is. Think it's some sort of gunk from machining that gets trapped somewhere then seeps out after the first wash. Mine never came back though.

While I remember @scooby, to much juice in the dripper can really make a difference to how it vapes, you want the wicks wet but you don't want a puddle of juice sitting on the deck.
Another thing is the juice, to high a PG will kill the clouds, should help flavour but you wont get big clouds.
Anyway I think that's it for now, can't remember anything else off hand.

Well.......now I've had time to recover....... It's so different from a regular vape, talk about intense flavour, two or three hit's and I'm done. It's like comparing double Ristretto to a latte, I'm tasting it for a loooooooong time after. I did over do the juice at first enjay but when I got the optimum amount I knew it. I think the juice is 50/50, good vapour but not massive clouds, it's the flavour I wanted anyway. I reckon the rust thing is deposits of carbon from the tool that machined it, it's circular in shape and like you say when I rub it out it should be gone for good. Cheers for you suggestions, very helpful.

Much more flavour than my usual juice. Next it will be concentrates and mixing my own

Guys.... a question for the drippers... Looking to get my first dripper, preferably 22mm, preferably brass to match my Phantom Brass Stingray (MVapes). I've been looking at FT, and seen these 2: Tobh 1:1 clone www.fasttech.com/product/1716604Or: Patriot clone www.fasttech.com/product/1601200People seem to love the Tobh, but it is nearly twice the price... and what if I don't take to dripping!!!? What is you guys opinion on these two? And do you have any other recommendation? Not too keen on the wait for FT stuff, but hard to argue with their prices. Cheers, Leo

leo I think the Tobh will serve you better as it has much better airflow than the patriot that you show. The airhole in that patriot is tiny.

patriot will give you better flavour i think. tobh more clouds. depends what you want really, i am no dripping expert but smaller the airflow more intense flavour, but lower ohms can do the same thing. so depends oh a few things. if it was me i would get both

hijack, geordie_vaper, thanks for the tips. I see the point about the small air holes on the Patriot (although it wouldn't be too hard to drill 'em out... plus it's s.h.i.n.y.!!!! Maybe next month I will order the Tobh (I'd get one from UK, but, quite skint atm!) I'm not looking to sub-ohm as I don't think my batts will take it (Red efest imr). I'd like to try dripping as a couple of people have pointed out, it's great for quickly trying new flavours/mixing flavours, before I put 4ml in my fogger and end up tipping it down the sink if I don't like it!! I don't really see it being an 'at work' atty, but for relaxing in the evening with a few flavours and some cotton, looks like a good bet. Also, any other recommendations apart from the 2 above?? Cheers, Leo
