Info overloaded so need advice on good starter kit:)

This forum looks great so I hope you guys don't mind me asking some typical newbie questions...

I started vaping Vype reloaded but want to move on to something cheaper to refill/maintain that doesn't look like a cigarette!! I do like the "feel" of the Vype product though - it is very slim and light and as a very slight, petite female that suits me well. I live in Scotland & walk in the hills a lot so have had to use 4 Vype batteries on a charging cycle to manage my vaping needs.

My priorities are cost (obviously) but I don't mind paying out initially(if I get value for money & satisfaction using the product). I would definitely rather refill with liquid & don't want to be dependent on expensive cartridges that are priced above their value. I am very keen to find something slim (maybe buy extra batteries again) but don't want to pay more money for an inferior product because it has little jewels on it and expensive advertising

I would really welcome your thoughts and recommendations as I am suffering from "information overload" trying to educate myself to make the right choice

depends on budget and how much control you want
a good kit for starting out with some control but not the cheapest

and then there are these kits which are still good but no adjustments just a good reliable plug and play setup but you get 2 batts and 2 tanks so can charge on whilst using a diff one but you cant charge and use the same batt if that makes sense

because i always wounder can i get it a bit better i went for the 1st setup when i started and loved it part from only having one batt
and tbh i got my mum an evod setup cause its simple and she,s not lol

Hi and Welcome star .. Excuse me for not recommending anything but only been vaping for a month (A MONTH TODAY .. YAY ME!!) so I am not gonna start trying to recommend anything as I am still on the basic Variable voltage spinner battery and I have a mini protank. it's doing the job for me and the mini protank was about £6 and the VV battery was about £14 (from memory) so a reasonable little starter kit. The only thing I will recommend is getting a variable voltage battery as it;s nice to be able to increase the 'hit' for the times when you want to. But my kit is very basic compared to the majority of people on here. Then it's just the liquids would would be quite cheap if I didn't keep buying so many to test LOL

I'm sure some more experience people will be of more use, but thought I'd chip in a little bit

You can't go far wrong with this as a first upgrade from your current set up, IMO:

You'll soon get used to the size and the advantages of having a battery with a better run time, will make your vaping considerably less of a re-charging hassle.

I would concur with the Evod starter kit to linked above. As Perpetua says, you'll soon get used to the slightly larger size, but the advantages are quite large. More run time between charges, and a spare battery to keep you vaping while the first charges. The size thing will quickly become the norm, and the better quality of tank will give you a more satisfying experience altogether.

I would definitely recommend a spare battery !! That's one of the first things I bought after buying my starter kit .. as having to charge it at an inopportune moment could be disastrous !!!

There's 2 batteries in the Evod starter kit wibble.

If star wanted a third, then I'd then suggest getting one with a Variable Voltage feature - although that's not always an immediate concern for someone looking to do their first upgrade.

Another recommendation from me for the Evod Kit that Perpetua linked to a above.
Nice and simple, not too big and it's compatible with lots of other things when/if you want to upgrade.

I'd go for that kit then star , mine starter kit must have been really cheap as only came with one battery !! hence why I bought the VV spare If only I'd joined this forum BEFORE buying my starter kit Perpetua

Totally go with this. this wasn't available when I started so I had to get my head round a lot of stuff pretty quickly and I empathise with your worries about the highlands. When I started vaping I soon went on a backpacking trip with ma - think no e-cig shops and 10 days without easy access to the postie and just cartridges. How I did it I will never know!!!

So yeah don't stress....just go with simple for now. This is simple (the evod starter kit) and you'll have enough fun with this for a good wee while . If you want to upgrade further at a later that's ok. But for now I believe you are asking for a simple upgrade and this is it

One of those and a roll up solar panel and you could last indefinitely with enough juice lol.
I'm actually getting one of these as a spare power pack for my yaesu ft817 when up the hill or down the beach. 
Great things indeed! Never crossed my mind for charging ego's etc though!  Wtg decoy.
