richie63When you say a smaller battery, I assume you mean 18350mah.. So the answer is that you are unlikely to get a full day unless you are a very light vaper. I get about 3 hours if I'm using a 18350.

Ok so you can put different sized bats in them then, I like the look of the zmax. Could you tell me, with the smaller battery what length would I be looking at and would I be likely to get a days vaping from that one battery? Spinners and Twists have batteries built in, I have one of each and they both last me all day. That's vaping 3-4 mls a day. They're all I use now with the exception of my VTR, so I'd definitely recommend them as a step up. As long as you have vari voltage or wattage, you won't go far wrong.

Ok thanks to you all, so it looks like the spinner or twist route will be best, so can I still use the same charger that I am currently using, on these.

Ok thanks, that wouldn't be any good for me then. The battery / mod path is pretty well established Ego type battery - why would I want to change voltage???? <time passes> <hmmm more power / increase flavour> Ego VV type battery - why would I want a mod???? <time passes> <hmmm more power / increase flavour / don't have to discard the Ego VV battery as it's ability to degrade charge decreases> Vamo / ZMax / SVD / VTR + charger + batteries + (ideally and a safe charging bag) <time passes> <feels secure with ZMax in 18650 mode whilst walking down a dark alley> <time passes> <time passes> Why on earth would I want a mechanical mod with no control circuitry or protection and power decreasing as I use it??? <time passes> (by which time you've bought a Kayfun or similar and are competent at building coils) <time passes> Bugger - that's the second time I've trashed one / something has gone wrong Nemesis in 18650 mode - wow - that's as short than my Vamo in 18350 mode (I'm guessing) and the battery lasts all day. <time passes> Bit big though... Nemesis in 18350 mode and batteries in case in pocket / in car / on bike... Dalliance with 18500 batteries (1100mah) <time passes> Ego type batteries given away, VV/VW devices given away or sold... <time passes> <time passes> You now have two Stingrays, a ChiYou, a Nemesis and a neat hybrid thingie that's all shiny and new One mech submersed in water (survived by quickly retrieving and unscrewing as it got hot), two dropped onto concrete - survived with minor scuffs and a crooked button. So... that was my path (including commentary). Which is to say Hi there Personally I would recommend going for a nemesis clone and a kayfun lite v2. Whatever you choose, though - enjoy the hobby, the money and enjoy the relative health. Oh - be wary of Shinyitis - you've hit 30 posts, richie63 and you're exhibiting symptomatic thinking.

Wow that pretty much covers all possibilities thank you, hadn't noticed the 30 posts but you are right about looking for something bigger and shinier

If you want portable, and all day vaping, a mech is the only answer. A mech in 18650 size is the same height as most vv devices in 18350.

If you want portable, and all day vaping you might want to consider the MPV..

personally I wouldn't go mech, I'd stick with vv/vw. I tried a mech, never happy with it, and the most I want to do is recoil protank heads with ready-made coil & wick. Relatively faff-free and a vape adjustable to suit at the touch of a button. So, I'd recommend vamo/zmax type, You probably would get a day out of an 18350 unless you're a heavy vaper, but get both 350 and 650 batteries so you can use whichever suits at the time, and keep your "portable" kit for, if you need it, portability

Looks like a spinner2 would be the choice for you as its portable and has a good size battery and allows you to turn the power up. Other options would be MVP2 or another mod that takes a 18650 battery. Here is a VTR and SVD both using 18650 batteries and a hand to show scale. I would hold off getting a mech for now as you need to have resistance meter to check coils and some knowledge of battery limits and safe practice, or you may run into trouble.

Still awaiting delivery of my first Nemi, so I'm not as far down the path as you! I reckon you should pm me any time you feel the need to free up some space in the mod drawer (especially if you ever feel like parting with that sexy Fortune mod!!) Cheers, Leo.

I reckon you should pm me any time you feel the need to free up some space in the mod drawer (especially if you ever feel like parting with that sexy Fortune mod!!) Cheers, Leo. Well, I started this game at the end of August last year - and if you started vaping three months ago, your running ahead of me on the battery > mod > mech mod path by about two months (it was early Feb when I got my first mod, a second hand clone Chi You) If you truly want to laugh I should really document with precision the Cart > Clearo > Tank > RDA/RBA path as well - a fair chance similar has or will pass through your hand / on to your desk... Mind you, I've been good in one aspect. I have a Swedish Glaze tub (icecream sans traces of milk stocked for my daughters Uni friend) crammed with concentrates which represents my first couple of months mixing... Why is that good? because I had the fortune to meet lairey at her house - she has a collection of concentrates too numerous to count (and a really sensible way of storing them). I suspect my goodness won't last that long though Enjoy the Nemesis - wonderful device (I sort of regret buying a copper one because the 510 threads are quite soft and I placed a naughty Squape on it, but the patina is delightful) and am sorely tempted to buy a brass or stainless steel one as well. I'd also recommend a Stingray (I am so impressed with the phantom brass one I bought from FyneMods - not sure who made it but wow) or an Infinity Copper One (not aware of any `ship from china` sources but Greyhaze and (ugh - can't recall who) stock them in the UK. Can't see the Fortune mod ever leaving the clutch though. Sorry.

I can verify leo, that the Fortune is a thing of beauty And tomj777 I may have a few (ahem) concentrates, but without them I wouldn't be able to have a go at creating the Snake Oil clone, and sooooo many people are counting on me!
