Hi Toby aka ruffdog - that's a gnarly cross to bear. You've been vaping just over a month I'd add the call for looking closely at flavourings and also to mention another little thing that may be in play. Nickel. Most common or garden clearos / tanks with replaceable heads have nickle-chromium wire used as coils. When you dry burn Ni-Chrome coils (or Kanthal coils) you generate a pretty large cloud of nanoparticles as the wire expands (Nickel and Chromium are both things you do not want to inhale so when you dry burn hold it at arms length). Saying that, I've no idea of the generation of nano-particles at lower temperatures - the assumption is that it's very slight (I pray) and, to be honest, much less than in burning tobacco (look at the list of metals at play there). Nickel allergy is symptomatically similar to how you describe what's happening to you and it may be worth while learning to make your own coils with Kanthal-A1 (a much higher melting point resistance wire made of iron, aluminium and chromium) Not sure that it's going to be a PG allergy (I'd have thought it would have come into play much faster). And, as you will no doubt painfully know, it's a bugger to track down an allergy - it could be some subtle environmental change... I hope you find the cause / causes soon.

Thanks guys, OK. Well, I'll contact JJ tomorrow then, thanks enjay lairey@sammy13 ronaldo and anyone I missed. Oh, I couldn't say I have changed flavours, I have changed and tried all sorts this past month. But tbh at the moment I'm pretty much using all my flavours in rotation, trying to use up some of my first rooky buys, samples and members stuff. I intend to start mixing very shortly. I have bottles, VG, menthol crystals, syringes etc. Just need some nic base and concentrates. Roll on the 30th, pay day. X Toby The handy thing with Jim is being a supplier of juice he tends to have a good idea what people do and don't suffer from regarding vaping so if it's possible it's vape related he usually has a good idea.

Thanks again all. I do my own coils for my dripper but obviously not my iclear 30's funny you should say though tomj777 I dry burned, rinsed and dry burned a iclear today and re-wicked width cotton. Must say I "was" looking down on the coil whilst doing the burn. Hmmmmmmm much to explore. As for drop in centres and or changing doc. Nah, not really an option up here in Oban. We have 1 practice NHS and one private. I have seen at least 3 of the docs in the surgery, and it was my dentists assistant who commented on my legs looking like DH rash. Ruff

I thought I had PG intolerance last year. It turned out to be the flavours. I've been clear for months and months, but it's come back recently. My current "selection" of juice is to blame. No doubt about it. I feel for you though, it's grim.

Ruff Can you not request a referral to a specialist at a hospital? May be difficult but always best to have a proper diagnosis. Could be caused by any number of things. Hope you get it sorted.
What about " Lorn & Islands Hospital "... they do Dermatology?

Hi @zero It is L&I H'Pital i have / had been referred to !! They have ONE dermatologist who comes up from Glasgow ONCE A MONTH !!!!!! I know, mental isn't it. He is the one who said i just have a skin infection, I was on 2 different antibiotics (again) over about 2 months + and all they did was make me feel like hell and give me agonizing tummy cramps and the Sh1t's. Then had lightbox therapy (think NX-01 enterprise transporter pad / decon chamber) !!!! and that made things worse. If it was an infection (no doubt the rash, pimples, scabs and sores do actually get infected) but think he was clutching at straws to say infected skin and then prescribe light box after antibiotics didn't do anything helpful. Just to give you some idea of the incompetence of L&I....... 1: A few years ago, they had to send a medivac helicopter away and down to either Inverness or Glasgow (can't remember) because the staff were having a BBQ next to the heli pad and the pilot couldn't land due to poor visibility (SMOKE) 2: My OH slipped and bent her pinky back / right angle, went to A&E and was told, Aye it's just fractured, not getting the xray dude out of bed for that (11pm). Que a week later, I INSIST she goes for xray, comes back saying "yes they did it and told me it is broken" and they re-broke / reset it. >>> Last week goes to her fracture clinic, she says to the chap about the break and the doc says "what, have you not been told!!!! You broke your pinky in 4 places really badly, look see here are the xrays, it's going to be about 6 months to a year before you get full mobility back and even they you may not" Take from that what you will. I have many more stories. Ruff

Don't know if this is of any help, considering you already have skin problems, but after around 5/6 months of vaping I also itched from head to toe badly and came up with red spots and blotches everywhere. It was awful, I couldn't stop scratching and worse in the evenings and especially when I went to bed. It transpired that it was a PG intolerance, so I started to vape 100% VG and it gradually went away. Took a few weeks for it to completely disappear but so far since vaping VG I haven't suffered again with it. Hope you get it sorted ruffdog

toots thank you for your input and kind comments. Jim at JJ has advised to go glass tank and up my vg % and even unflavored "if I can stand it" . Anyone got an old glassomizer type thing spare (that doesn't leak) for sale? save me buying a dud online. I can coil so anything that's even recoil-able / re-wick able would be great ruff

Sorry to hear about the ordeal you have been through. You make me grateful to live where I do with a selection of hospitals and GP's. I hope you can get it sorted once and for all.
