If you watch the video that's how it seems. This is my first mech mod and decided to get it, one of the main reasons being its simplicity. No mention of gluing on the video. It was magnetised to the battery... I don't understand why the need to glue it?!?! (I know the instructions said so, I wonder why they said this when I don't recall it being mentioned in the video... The video shows it to be very set up and go. Ain't got a clue, only going by what smifee said about faff free, not going to watch the video as i ain't got one and don't want one

Ain't read all about this glue thing but i think i would be the same, don't like faffing....and glueing things is not my cup of tea, set up and go is my cup of tea If you watch the video that's how it seems. I don't understand why the need to glue it?!?! (I know the instructions said so, I wonder why they said this when I don't recall it being mentioned in the video... The video shows it to be very set up and go. This is my second mech mod. The first is a Mor Crann which worked straight out of the wrapping. Just watched the first part of the video and if I had seen that I would have been concerned about the magnet moving & touching the side. Being a tech numpty I don't know if that is a reasonable concern. Maybe so as the instructions say to glue it. I believe only 5 AAEC members got theirs today. Another of the 5 has told me they are going to sell theirs.

I have had a magnet move & make a short to the tube ( not on a gizmo ), so yes it is reasonable concern, that is why it is recommended to put a dab of glue on magnet & stick it to the battery.

I'd imagine glue would act as a barrier, affecting connectivity.

don't know if this would work but I would get a tap washer and put a pop rivet in the middle and use that

I was thinking along similar lines but with out the rivet but with the rivet being made of aluminium it will allow the flow of electricity without restriction It needs a magnet to repel the centre of the switch on this mod.
