I am happy with my pc but I think it would be a lot better if I put a graphics card in it as the on board graphics uses internal memory and I don't like that I know of a few people that have bought new pcs so I will have to phone around and see if any of them has a decent graphics card they no longer need may ask about memory as well as my pc has two two gig memory modules in
just checked I need graphics card PCI express X 16 and 2 of DDR3 12800 4 gb unbuffered
my pc is Medion Akoyo P4210D (MD 8370) system

Aaaand I'm back. But with a slight issue. It won't activate my retail copy of Win 8 Pro and says that it is for upgrades only and not new builds. Obviously I wouldn't be typing this now had the installation not worked, but I expect that phone call to MS might happen when it tells me I have to activate windows in however long it gives you these days. Shouldn't be a massive problem, what with the motherboard on my last computer frying and all!
Thanks again for the help folks!

Hi ronaldo - is your PSU up to the job? I had to upgrade to a 600W (silent!) one (about £20 - 25 on Amazon) when I put in an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti, which I bought 2nd hand off eBay for under 50 quid It runs Elite: Dangerous (beta) at maximum graphics settings, with a really good frame-rate. I am 1 happy bunny...

I have a couple of spare power supplies I have a 850w and a 1200w In the cupboard so I don't have a problem with that I always like a PSU that is a lot higher than required as I run a lot of coolers in my computers

Totally agree with your choice there BrenD. Pop the spare HDD in there for storage. The IGP on the processor should be capable of Football Manager, at worst you may have to lose a few visual effects but as I don't play it Plenty of scope for upgrades later too.

BrenD Don't forget to that you will need an O/S with it. I've got a retail copy of Windows 8 ready to rock. If I need to call MS to activate it, I'll do so. Telling them my old motherboard has bitten the dust will do the trick. But I don't think that will be an issue. I haven't a clue what is actually up with my old PC but it isn't working and I won't be getting it repaired as it is getting on a bit. If I wanted to use Windows on two PCs, I'd buy a second copy! Sent from my HTC One_M8 using proboards if it posts to bios screen ,then look at hard drive being knackered[ or just open it disconnect hd] then power on if you see post screen HD is fried If it does not power on try another power supply---yes they do break, yes they do burst into flames[daugters did],yes they can show on but power for that rail may just have given up... Also peeeps many and i mean many dont even bother lookin in there PC...clean it!!!! thin film of dust is like a quilt and will eventually overheat it and kill it For Cpu /Case/graphic fans very gently hold it,and use a dry cotton bud on fin edges Yes you can use your hoover nozzle just hoover it above[do it all the time] Use old kiddie paint brush to loosen dust oh and dont for get to disconnect power supply and then hit power button to discharge, and when you open case touch the case chassis to earth you self best place to do it is in kitchen--no nylon/wool carpet that can generate static!
